Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna

Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
The cheapest flights that go directly from London to Vienna are offered by Air Berlin/Flyniki.
If you book well in advance you can get the roundtrip ticket for around 60 British Pounds (including taxes).
My mother got the ticket Vienna-London-Vienna for 85 Euro once (booked 2 months in advance).
Here is their website, where you can book your flight.
Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
As mentioned above, Air Berlin offers cheap flights from London to Vienna. However Ryanair’s flight from London to Bratislava might be slightly cheaper. But then you’d have to take the bus from Bratislava to Vienna, which costs 9 Euros (one-way). So I guess Air Berlin is the better option.
And Salzburg is 3 hours drive away from Vienna, while Bratislava is just one hours drive.
6 hours from Zurich to Vienna? Do you drive a Formula 1 car? ![]()
Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
Thank you so much Umer. I wont actually be leaving from London though, Manchester is closer to my city, but not even that close. Il still check out the site that you provided me with. I may have to delay the trip till Feb anyway. I hope it’s still snowing in Feb, I really want to go skiing!
Thanks once again. I may need to trouble you again in the near future.
Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
I found the following excellent fare for February on AirBerlin:
STN-VIE HG 8553 06.02. (1) 08:50 - 11:50
VIE-STN AB 8137 17.02. (5) 17:10 19:50
for a total of £ 59 (incl. taxes) = € 82 (incl. taxes)
Of course that fare will increase if you wait too long.
Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
Finally managed to get to Vienna.
British Airways, book 2 months in advance and its £50 quid each way. The service at Vienna airport is better Heathrow too! Aye I know as it's a teeny tiny airport, but still, they were really good.
Vienna is gorgeous. Getting around via trams and the tube was a doddle and its cheap as chips not like London transport.
Will definately love to go during winter next time though...all that snow!

I took Ryanair from London Stansted to Salzburg then the train to Vienna
Salzburg was BEAUTIFUL… Vienna was such a tatty dump.. I was so dissapointed.. for the capital of Austria and the Hapsburg Empire I expected more.. the UN quartier was more modern and clean and I stumbled across the Vienna mosque there too..

Re: Cheap Flights to Vienna
I wonder in which districts you went to, of course there are not so great spots in each place but the most tourist’s attractions in Vienna are well kept.
But of course compared to Salzburg its a not as welll romantic, because its a bigger and busier city.
