Prototype...how much does your darzi charge for stitching for nice stylish stuff?
I get my clothes stitched from Timpiy. Her basic tailoring is Rs 2500 and it is by far the BEST tailoring in lahore. And this is coming from someone who's been a Karma regular since 2001 when they used to operate out of someone's home and is now a Kamiar Rokni regular since he parted ways with Karma.

I pay between Rs.500-1500 for a stylishly stiched suit. Duptaa border (patti) is separate about Rs 200-300. This is in Karachi.

my tailor is a bit pricey for a basic suit (or is that kameez?). i think it's 400 or 450 but that comes with proper finishing like piping, decent neck design and a neat (usually concealed) back zip. the fitting is impeccable too (as i mentioned in my thread re: nikah outfit).i begged my MIL loads of times to find a better tailor where she is (multan). she always has such a headache with her clothes and has to pay separately for any extras like piping. isn't it better to pay a bit more overall and a fixed amount and know you will always get a proper job?edit: i know lined outfits (that need the lining to be dyed too) with trousers (with hooks and a zip) are 1000-1200. again though, well worth the money in my opinion, especially if you have spent a fair bit on the material in the first place.

I've just read previous feeds on this thread...came back from pak 5 months back we were charged 300rps for choordar arms with buttons and piping, back zip, collar neck, straight slim cut shalwaar and piping on the scarfs.....

Yeh.. I don't think you're going to find those prices in cities like Lahore or Karachi.
Are you sure it was 300 for all 3 - shirt stitching, shalwar stitching and duputta finishing though? I mean, 5 years back in Multan (which wasn't expensive compared to Lahore) it was like 200 to 300 Rs for simple shirt stitching.

seriously.... it was 300-350rps no more the mens suits were more
I was shocked too, I was like can we have another couple of days of shopping....

I hae a friend from Multan too she was saying it was fairly cheap down there too, but not sure what the prices are like there now.... I've heard the cities are more expensive, like islamabad and rawalpindi etc

Saddar in Rawalpindi is now 1000 Rs a simple jorah and 1500 for a bit designer jorah like with one or two panels, pattis.
In Kamran market was like 700-800 Rs but that was bad very bad.. destroyed my trial suit.
