What is chatta patti? Its a tradition to wear this kind of gharara on the wedding day, in my in laws.

Can someone post pictures of this design… Please.

The work on the bottom of the gharara is considered chatt patti…

Chatta Patti ghararas are made with strips or diamonds of different fabrics stitched together. I LOVE the style and don't have one yet. Maybe for my brother's wedding I'll get a gorgeous one made. :D

^ do that! i love the color combo of the strips in the picture that zigs posted above.
i think it is all about the colors... i've seen some truly awful ones in weird pastels that just don't go together.

Yeah, altho these days a lot of fabric is made to look like chatta patti, eventho it's not. Gives the pretty effect, without the work!

what about this one. This looks like the same style but we cant see different fabrics stiched together at the bottom. Is it still Chatta Patti?

i've not been a fan of these until recently when more and more of them started showing up in bridal pics lookin' gorgeous. i always thought it was super frumpy probably because the color choices i've seen have been so ugh.

sahar, shades of plums and purples would look so hott on you!
remember there's this bunto gharara with a white shirt and the bottom is a regular farshi with different patti's going horizontally across in two shades of purple and shocking pink? i think that would look really pretty in chatta patti too.

i'm not sure though if i prefer farshi or full on chatta patti.

also its pronounced chut-a putt-y (like putty or play doh).

the chinyere one is really pretty but its not a gharara, is it? it doesn't seem to have any gote so i'm assuming its just a wide legged lehenga type of thing?

Gharara's are my all time fav's... hopefully will get a chatti patti made too..
