Channey ki daal gosht

I need a nice, tried and tested recipe. Kinda fed up making it my way. Thanks.

I first bhuno the gosht in onions, tomatoes, garlic ginger and masalas and cook it until amlost tender. Then add soaked canna daal and cook until tender.

mom says she makes gosht first like u and then adds boiled chana daal in it and sum water and cooks it until its all mixed up and puts onion tarka in the end.

Use machli/ paya/ nihari/ qorma / karahi gosht masala and use your method to cook it. It will give it a different taste and aroma.

yeah make it with qorma masala it'll taste divine. my mom sumtimes put chat masal in it too.

I only had karahi gosht masala and meat & veg masala at home, so I added a bit of both with my regular namak mirch haldi dhaniya combo. Let's see. I'm charging my camera but the bhuna part looks delish!

I hope you know I meant use different kind of masla every time you cook it I do not mean to mix them all . :bummer:

Do you make sabut/whole urad gosht, urad key daal gosht , masoor key daal gost ? I lub those too with chapati or plain rice. Finger licking good.

urad is black , urad key daal is white and masoor key daal is laal/pink daal.

I know my daals real well :lifey: and I’ve made the channa daal & masoor daal with gosht. Never tried it with urad (maash) daal.

Ohh my mom used to make urad daal + gosht/other daal + gosht.. that was the only way i’d eat gosht :bummer:

I made this during the week too.. i made the mistake of soaking the dhaal a bit too late though and it took SOOOOOO long to get soft.. khair, it worked..

I usually have to freeze the salans i make, but when i defrost and warm the food.. i usually bhoon it once again and put some garam masala in it.. it tastes devine that way

oooh maash ki dhaal.. im craving it now

Mirch bhai, ask TLK but I think it was one of the best I've made. The little extra bit of karahi masala and KB's mom's idea of doing an onion tarka at the end really kicked it up a notch!
