i don want tht change to happen…y can’t we be different from otherz…y do we alwayz have to copy others n wanna be like them… i like it better this way … n as far the business thingy is concerned…well anywayz the time zone is different na…there is 7-8 hours difference from USA…soo when our office time ends…in the USA the office time starts. …wht will they do abt tht… me noo liking it…abhi we say “ha finally jummraat juma aa gayaa” ** phir after the change…we will be like"juma hafta aagaya"..tht does not sound nice.. n then for 19 yrs i have seen it tht way…n even saudia has been surviving for the past 100+yrs with the weekendz tht way…so y the problem now…
past 100+ years international trade was not the way it is now. now if u lay timediff b/w countries u will see that with this approach they have more options of working with overseas counter parts, and even if it is not at the same time, sending a qustion and getting response the next morning is diff then getting it 2 days later.
Well it is not just USA, you have Europe and Asia aswell and there is not much of a time iffernce b/w them. You'll get used to it, in Pakistan they changed it from friday to sunday and now everyone is used to the sunday holiday.
I don’t want that change to happen. Why can’t we be different from others? Why do we always have to copy others and try be like them?
I like it better this way. And as far the business thingy is concerned, well, anyways the time zone is different na. There is 7-8 hours difference from the USA, so when our office time ends, in the USA the office time starts. What will they do about that?
Me no liking it. Abhi we say “ha finally jummraat juma aa gayaa”, :Dphir after the change, we will be like “juma hafta aagaya” That does not sound nice.
And then for 19 years I have seen it that way, and even Saudia has been surviving for the past 100+yrs with the weekends that way, so why the problem now?
exact;y so if there is not a lot of time diff between eurppe and asia, then having more working days in common with them helps u do work more effectively.
if country A is off sat sun, and country B is off thu Fri, and the time diff is 6 hours, how many hours do they have where they are at work at the same time, and how many days do they have where they can coordinate on weekly things together. if u shift the thu-fri country to fri-sat, what is the impact of that move.
as i suggested, plot it on a graph..working hours and working days ad time diff and u will see the impact.
fraudia……main samajh gayeen wht ur trying to say…no need to plot it on a graph…i used hate doing tht in economics:smilestar: yea..i was not thinking from tht point of view…i was thinking from my point of view… magar …magar…i still won’t like it… maybe it’s for the better…but i’l still not like it… Amorphous……sorreeyy…me can’t change my font colour to black…it’s toooo DRY…maybe once i get used to general topics..i might..but right now..tht is close to impossible…
Saudi businessmen, academics and executives have called upon authorities to consider changing weekly holidays to Friday and Saturday saying the move would be essential in order to promote the country’s international business relations.<<
I totally agree with this! ... KSA gets only 3 working days Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday in a 7 days week to contact with world! On Thursday, Friday KSA is off while on Saturday and Sunday Europe and NA is closed.
That makes business potential in KSA half compared to Europe and NA.
The main suppliers are Europe while KSA is a biggest consumers market, at the same time as we are talking about off days; here we also have to consider the time difference factor that affects the business advancement and growth.
^ – Be thankful I didnt say Saturday and Sunday,
This is all in favor of this country, else KSA already is far behind, and will be going down and far at least @ 1 day a week! …
u better stop using tht hathhora on me… i like it this way…tht all tht i’m saying now…n haan i do understand tht it maybee for the betterment of KSA..but i still like it this way… KSA wants to enter into the WTO na..tht is y all this happening…
