let PPP protest against the change in the route, wait why should they as it passes through Sindh too. Anyways as per the government there are three routes, therefore I can't fathom the fuss. One route on which the biggest noise is, being made for many years now (Islamabad Karachi motorway). I can understand if the project is completed it will completely end ppps politics.

PPP is not much involved in rout issue , PPP prefers relation with China as it is a permanent part of party policy .
You have no logic to change the real rout , It is only vote lust of Shareefs and bias people are supporting them .

lol, so whats the issue then? PPP and PMLN are both on board, the way some parties are making this issue as Punjab versus the rest will only help PMLN in Punjab and ANP in KPK...win, win situation for all.
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
The people of Pakistan other than we Punjabis are absolute majority and occupy more than 80% area of Pakistan , Let them live & grow , You have already thrown majority away in 1971 , what do you want now , Those all are better Pakistanis , Let them live happy .

who tell you what is the real rout?
I guess your source is facebook spamming pages?
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Punjab has over the years voted for Sindhi PM's quite a few times (same cant be said for Sindh), but its always loathed. I feel the way some political parties have converted this issue into Punjab versus the rest will only cement PMLN as the sole representatives of Punjab. That would be a plus for them, as thats the province they need to win to form the next government. For PMLN this is 'jaag Punjabi jaag' moment. I can see why ANP is raising this issue. They need it to revive their fortunes in KPK. Balochistan/Sindh would more or the less remain the same. Unfortunately no cookies for PPP in 2018 too.

It is basically a 70s plan than it was for Karachi
Than it was in two faces Indus Highway and Silk Road Karakoram Highway
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
I wish for a miracle that for once the haram khor politicians think beyond personal gains. It is painful to see every time any project, no matter how big, is initiated, all the vultures come together looking for their slice of the pie.
Although, Such short-termism and self-centered behavior is fueled by the fact that military intervenes all the time into civilian affairs. Politicians know that they have only a few years to do as much loot-maar as possible before military takes over again.

ISLAMABAD:**** During an All Parties Conference (APC) in Islamabad on Thursday, participants from all parties reached a consensus on the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project and pledged to take full political ownership.**
Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal counselled Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif to constitute a working group consisting of representatives from all provinces to make recommendations regarding developments in the corridor route.
As the meeting concluded, PM Nawaz announced that the western route of the economic corridor will be constructed first, for which funds will be released soon.
Earlier today, the premier pledged to parliamentary leaders that all matters regarding the CPEC project will be kept transparent.
The premier also said that political leaders reserve the right to bring their reservations forward which would be addressed.
He added that moving forward on national matters with unity will send a positive message to China, showing that Pakistan as a nation is committed to the project.
The premier also underscored that the corridor holds great importance in the history of Pakistan as such investments had not taken place in the past.
“China is a friend to Pakistan,” said Nawaz. “China supports Pakistan as a nation without focusing on a particular party.”
He also said that developments pertaining to the CPEC project will move forward in a transparent manner.
Separately, PM Nawaz congratulated Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah over the speedy arrests of culprits behind the Safoora Goth incident in Karachi in which 47 people including women, belonging to the minority Ismaili community, were shot dead on May 13 in an armed attack on their bus.
The APC was convened to build consensus on the CPEC project as the leadership of some political parties from small provinces had shown their concerns regarding the possible route of the CPEC project.
The project is being dubbed as a fate changer not only for Pakistan but also for the entire region.
Earlier, PM Nawaz had called an APC on May 13 to take the political leadership into confidence over the route of the planned CPEC project but the meeting remained incomplete due to the Safoora Goth tragedy.
During the last session of the Parliament, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Syed Khursheed Shah had demanded of the government to call another meeting of the APC to address the concerns of the opposition political parties on the route of the CPEC project.

It will be a real game changer , The western rout is the key to our mineral rich area , Happy Ending . No dodging after this . Restore the trust .
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
ahsan Iqbal was saying for the past many days that there are three routes of Cpec and work on the western flank will complete first, somehow the politicians didn’t want to believe him before.

This is the only way the opposition can bound them , You saw in last days , how they were cheating on the name of different roots .
Re: change the route of the Pakistan-China Economic Corridor.
Considering how India is eyeing to harm this project, it is good that political consensus has finally developed. All infighting on one side, but when it becomes clear that enemy has geared up to take advantage of your fault lines, everyone must unite and rise above the differences.
It's always a good strategy to come together on official forum to go over things and eliminate misunderstandings and confusion.
