The change of rout is a Lahori wish but this Pak-China corridor is the biggest Pakistani project after atomic program , It can change everything in Pakistan , China has already allocated some 40 billion $ for this , this year .

I could get faislabad and such, but what is Lahore doing in the route? It isn't an industrial hub like Karachi and even then I would move it westerward away from Karachi if it means developing balochistan.
You are increasing the distance of the route by the Lahore move, so I can only see it as a jahil dhugga move by usual noonies at the expense of Pakistan.
