Looking forward to this series. I know T20 haters will be ready to bash me but c’mon this is going to be fun.
8 specialist T20 teams from Pakistan, India, Australia, South Africa and England will feauture in this week long series comprising of 15 games. Will be interesting to see Shoaib Malik representing a Pakistani T20 team facing Sohail Tanvir who will represent Rajhistan Royals. Or what about Mike Hussey opting to play for Chennai Super Kings instead of Western Australia who will surely miss him duing the series.
I am sure it will be a week full of interesing contests.
Ok I will be really really pissed if this tournament will be only covered in US by ESPN 180 degree or 360 or whatever it is. C’mon Dishnetwork make you diehard fans like DB proud.
Would like to see Imran Tahir in action who will be playing for Titans.
6 out of 8 teams have announced their squads. Rajisthan Royals and Sialkot Stallions haven’t annoucned yet. My prediction is that these 2 are going to be the finalists.
Shoaib Malik will lead Sialkot Stallions’ 15-man squad in the Champions League with spin set to be a major part of the game plan.
Sialkot are Pakistan’s one representative in the tournament after receiving a late invite following the expulsion of Kent, the English Twenty20 runners up, because of their ICL players.
Malik, Abdur Rehman and legspinner Mansoor Amjad will provide frontline spin options for a tournament where the slow bowlers are likely to play a major role.
Squad Shoaib Malik (capt), Abdur Rehman, Adeel Malik, Ali Khan, Bilal Hussain, Faisal Naveed, Kashif Raza, Kamran Younis, Mansoor Amjad, Mohammad Ayub, Mohammad Ali, N Qazi, Qaisar Abbas, Sarfraz Ahmad, Shakeel Ansar
WHAT!? Put it on what? Dish is going to do what, who...? What on earth are we going to do, getting robbed of our most beloved form of the game? Starved of the purest form of cricket there is. Twenty20 has taken my world with storm and I cannot, just cannot afford to part ways with an entertainment that is beloved Twenty20. I will demand an apology from the CEO for this crime, putting it so it comes out of our pockets for a form of cricket that we have come to terms with, sharing great memories. Never thought I would see a day where I would have to pay for the whole package to see one lone Twenty20. All Twenty20's should come in one big package every year for fans all across the globe. Give me a call then.

In the meantime, I am calling Dish Network...
hayee hayee bechara kitna acha contributer tha forum per ... kia ho gaya hai is ko :)
It was supposed to be 4 countries (Ind, Aus, S. Africa and England) and top 2 T20 teams from these countires. England however were allowed to have one team only, Middlesex. Their runners-up, Kent were not allowed to partcipate since players like Azhar Mehmood, Justin Kemp etc are still playing for Kent as well as ICL and IPL authorities are pretty allergic to anything related to ICL.
Therefore they needed the 8th team and picked Pakistan. As a result the RBS T20 (our local T20 in October) became more interesting as the winner was provided an opportunity to feature as the eight side for the Champion league T20.
Next year they might increase the number of teams and will invite teams from Windies and Lanka.

and above all this Kent is protesting real hard agasint the inclusion of Sialkot team as it included Razzaq and Rana Naved when they won the T20 Tournament on the basis of which they are included in T20CL !
