Pakistan bowled far too many no balls (India capitalised on all but one of the free hits) which might prove costly in the next games, Gul and Aamer being the chief culprits. Gul was the biggest disappointment today. Rana too was expensive esp. in his opening spell and I would replace him with Asif in the next game
Gul had an off day which can happen to any bowler so that can be ignored. However I would replace rana with asif. He is too good a bowler to be sitting out this tournament. Aamer I feel got overawed by the occasion.
To me the hurt which Umar Akmal felt when he got out for a duck was very moving. The poor guy had tears in his eyes. That should be the spirit. When you feel so strongly about your performance and for your country than your own and Pakistan crickets future is nothing but bright.

and poor akmal, it wasnt his fault he had to hit the ball, no time for setteling, cuz the overs were few.

It is not as simple as Over the top reaction. Most of the Indian media is exploitative. Most of them are like the evening tabloids. They need sensationalism to beat the competition. And Zee news is the best example of this. They exploit everything, from the Indian cricket team to murder/ rape victims, H1N1, war, terrorism just to get ahead of the 100 or so other channels.
Before the tournament starts they increase viewership by crowning them kings. They play patriotic background songs and talk up the team's chances to unrealistic levels.
If the team wins the tournament then they increase viewership by playing the victory scenes over and over again for a lifetime.
If the team loses then they increase viewership by trashing their own pre tournament hype. They stand back and pretend as though all the hype was the team's doing and they are doing a public service by bringing the rich buggers down to earth.
