Even in those days, Pakistan were not distinctively superior to India in batting.
Pakistan’s successes came mainly because of the bowling - the 2 W’s and Saqlain/Mustaq/Akhtar etc.
As I said in my last post, in this game - Pak seem to be the better side in both batting and bowling (I am talking in an ODI context of course).
