Re: liverpool champions!!!
rules are rules and theres a reason why they are such (dont ask me why as i dont know :p)
I reckon the grey suit wallay will give in to pleas and may infact let them in to defend their title due to the performance of the team…some MP on the ITV news was banging on about how it would be a travesty if they didnt get to be in champions league next year.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5
what a game. It was an excellent comeback from liverpool
Re: liverpool champions!!!
liverpool bein there in the first place and then finishing 5th in the league, bein allowed 2 defend the cup sez it all about its credibility nowadays neway!
heart in the mouth time for the scousers, as fifa aren't budging on their ruling. they have no 1 but themselves to blame not finish in the top 4, pool r a top 4 side yet they couldn't raise their game in the premiership.
Re: liverpool champions!!!
Well your wonder boys couldnt score one single goal against Milan in 180 minutes while Liverpool did it thrice in six minutes. So you specially cannot say that they did not deserve it. :-p
Re: Champions League - 2004/5 (merged)
last year liverpool came 4th in the league, this allowed them the chance to get into champs league and have a go at winning it, thats what they did exactly, dont see what all the moaning is about,

^ Welcome to the forum and well said. Plus you are one of my favourite defenders so stick around :-p
Re: Champions League - 2004/5 (merged)
i have a feeling pool will be allowed to defend their crown, so much pressure is being put on 'uefa' not fifa my bad.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5 (merged)
i believe just the winner of each relative league should be allowed to enter the 'champions' league, with a knockout system just like the old days.
why call it the 'champions' league, if runners up are allowed 2 enter..heck...even teams who finish fourth in their league (liverpool)
Re: Champions League - 2004/5 (merged)
^ liverpool finished '5th' in the premiership this year. everton were 4th. if they had finsihed 4th, they wouldn't be facing this dilemma.
Re: Champions League - 2004/5 (merged)
im on about last season mate...liverpool finished '4th' and this season went on 2 win the 'champions' league. isnt really credible is it, calling it the 'champions' league.
