I was surprised too with Kewell starting but then again he was the one who triggered things against Olympiakos. Unfortunately he is soo injury prone that its not even funny. He should have started with Hamann instead of Kewell. Lack of defensive midfield player cost them because Kaka killed them in first half with gloriuos through balls again and again.
But it would be unfair to players if you say that it is mainly down to Benitez changes. Yes he made the right decision but Gerrard and co were fantastic in that period when they blasted three goals in 6 minutes. We only saw an even match last half hour of normal time.
and when Sheva misses such chance like he did late in second extra time topped up with a penalty you know that its not his night.
I will agree with you that Liverpool didnt play pretty looking football against Juve in Turin or against Chelsea but they were hampered with injuries and suspensions plus they had only one fit and warm striker in Baros.
By the way, Liverpool are allowed to take cup home because they won it the for the fifth time.
What a great game...I love soccer but I rarely get to watch it. I'm glad I got to see this game.
The game was insane. Milan has totally dominated this match, with the exception of five minutes. and in that time liverpool scored three times...and what a worst job of choking on penalties.
I knew Milan was a lot better than Liverpool and I really wanted Liverpool to win but this I did not expected. I guess Liverpool knew Pope John was smiling from the sky looking at them... :)

awesome comeback by the scousers. hats of to stevie gerrard and the rest of the pool team for showing a lot of character and beating a top side like ac milan. it’ll be interesting to see now whether fifa allow liverpool to defend their trophy next year or not :D] glory days r back on merseyside… :k:]

i think it was one of the best big matches ive ever seen. i was in my university union and was tempted to go home wen AC-milan were leading 3-0 at half time. but being a chelsea fan i decided to stay so i could see the humiliation of liverpool. maybe 5-0 at time, but!!!!!!
15 mins of charisma lead by gerard!!! o m god what an atmospher they created and the penalties!!!! they were amazing!! these gorayes can make some noise man! especially wen on the booze. lol
yesterday i found out that heart beats can also run over the roof in football as in tight cricket matches!!
