Well, thats fine. Your strategy of having a back-up team to root for is a good one. We should all learn from it. Hamm apnay saaray anday Pakistan ki basket mein daal ke baith jaatay hein, phir saara maza hi kharaab ho jaata hai, agar khuda nakhwasta haar jayein.

Fergie ready to go extra yard](http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/030423/21/dyb8x.html)
Sir Alex Ferguson is ready for Wednesday’s Champions League test of nerve against Real Madrid to stretch into extra-time.
Manchester United tackle holders Real Madrid at Old Trafford looking to become only the second side to overturn a two-goal first-leg deficit in the competition’s history.
Even though the visitors are without Raul, who grabbed a brace in the Bernabeu a fortnight ago, Ferguson acknowledges his team are facing a stiff test and admitted he would gladly accept an extra 30 minutes if Vicente del Bosque were to make the offer.
"I would be delighted if the game went to extra time,‘’ said the Red Devils chief. "I would accept that right now.
"My team are in the best form of the season and I know we can score goals.
"The 64,000 dollar question is whether we can stop them. That is the big test.
"We sat too deep in the first game, tonight we will have to play with a bit of courage.
"By the time they have finished I hope Real will feel they have been in a game. We have to keep them at full stretch.‘’
Double Italian Champions League delight](Yahoo is part of the Yahoo family of brands.)
LONDON (Reuters) - Inter Milan and Juventus have given Italian soccer its pride back after becoming the first Serie A teams to reach the semi-finals of the Champions League since 1999.
They scored a stunning double success with Juventus, reduced to 10 men for the last 41 minutes, winning 2-1 after extra time in Barcelona for a 3-2 aggregate victory, while Inter Milan squeezed through on the away goals rule after losing 2-1 at Valencia, with the tie ending 2-2 on aggregate.
Juve will now meet the winners of the Real Madrid-Manchester United quarter-final, while Inter will face either local rivals AC Milan or Ajax Amsterdam.
It is the first time in the 11 seasons of the Champions League that Italy has had two teams in the semis, and they will have three if AC Milan beat Ajax at the San Siro on Wednesday. The first leg ended 0-0 in Amsterdam two weeks ago.
Tuesday’s results ended a number of long-running records – both wanted and unwanted.
Juve’s win at the Nou Camp, thanks to a goal from substitute Marcelo Zalayeta, was their first in 13 matches in Spain since their last win in 1970 when they beat Barca 2-1 there in a match in the old Fairs Cup competition.
The defeat was also Barcelona’s first at home in Europe since they lost to Real Madrid in the semi-finals a year ago, and their first defeat in the Champions League in 16 matches this season – including the qualifying round.
Inter also broke a long unwanted record by ending a 22-year absence from the last four of Europe’s elite competition. They last reached these heights in 1981 when they lost in the European Cup semi-finals to Real Madrid.
LIPPI DELIGHTED
Juve coach Marcello Lippi said afterwards: "There was too much criticism of us last season and so there was a spirit of revenge in Italy this year.
"We are delighted to have got past this big obstacle. We closed down space very well and we could keep tight to their strikers. The lads did well for the 'umpteenth time.
“I am really pleased for Zalayeta – he scored a great goal that counts for so much.”
The first drama of the night came after just four minutes at the Mestalla in Valencia when Christian Vieri struck to put Inter 1-0 ahead and 2-0 up on aggregate following his only goal in the first leg two weeks ago.
But Valencia replied about three minutes later when Pablo Aimar equalised and they made it 2-2 on aggregate five minutes after the interval when Ruben Baraja scored. However, there were no more goals and Inter made it through.
The Italians also struck the first blow in Barcelona with Pavel Nedved putting Juve 1-0 up at the Nou Camp with an excellent individual goal after 53 minutes.
Xavi equalised for the home side after 66 minutes with a well-struck shot from the edge of the box.
The numerical balance tipped Barca’s way after 80 minutes when the leniency of English referee Graham Poll finally disappeared and he showed a second yellow to Edgar Davids after a clumsy challenge on Gaizka Mendieta.
But Juve had the last laugh when their Uruguayan substitute striker Zalayeta scored the deciding goal six minutes from the end of extra time, turning in a cross from Alessandro Birindelli.
Nedved said afterwards: "This competition counts for so much for us and we gave our all tonight.
“In these matches if you want to win you have to play to your limits. It was a very tough game indeed. To win the Champions League is the ambition that I have had throughout my career”.
yesterday great match between Barca and Juve!
tough luck for Barca…but I’ve never been a great fan of them anyway…so am glad to see Juventus progress.
Inter were lucky that they got an early goal, cuz Valencia had about dozen great chances later on; good work from goalie Toldo saved Inter.
Tonight: ManU - Real…going to be a gret match
especially in midfield, with players like Veron, Beckham vs Zidane, Figo :k:
Dutch team Ajax will be looking to beat AC Milan in SanSiro
Only 1 hour away from kick off!
My bet goes for a 2-1 win for Real Madrid or 2-2, winning via aggregate.
Raul will be missed badly, but with the likes of Ronaldo and Guti.
Recently Real lost a La Liga game, and drawed in the other. They may be kind of out of touch, but the importance of this game is very vital.
It will be good to see Man U finished off in Old Traford! muahaha
What a game some real entertaining stuffz…Really enjoy it!
A big :k: for both teams. Thats how you make football interesting even for ppl who dislike that sports!
The goals from REALs side where just amazing. Especially the 2 and 3!!!
Great game, shame Man United are out. Beckham goal from the free kick was the goal of the night. Questions will obviously be asked as to why he started on the sub bench.
Ronaldo was just too good. :k:
OOOOh my god, What a wonderful Champions League Night :k: :k:
This is why I love football so much!
First of all
** Man U is ouutttttttttt!!!**
WOooohoooooooooooo

And then the Ajax- Milan match, I know I was initially supporting Ajax but I can’t say I’m not happy with the result .. I was only supporting Ajax cuz they were the last dutch team left.
SOooo, 3 Italian teams in the semi’s but I’m gonna go for Real Madrid :k:

Probably because if you take away his dead-ball brilliance he's pretty ordinairy in free play. Very predictable IMO.
I’m sure the whole of Brazil jumped out of their seats when their son scored the 3rd goal (hat trick ball), first ever in Champions League.
I knew Ronaldo wouldn’t make Raul’s presence be missed much.
In the first half, Real really did keep Ruud down, always charging after him, being physical. Nistelrooy was held contained.. which is always the biggest threat for Man U.
Yeah it still bothers me as to why Bekham was subbed later on?
Also Bekham would have scored on that free kick, as his hat trick ball.
Man U, will do a lot of changes next season. They have a very young defense, and Wes Brown missed his chance early in the match, Nicky Butt doing a long shot when he had men to his left and right to capitalize, etc.
Oh well, now hear it outloud, Fergie’s going to say some BS like the Champions League Quarters were fixed for Italians and Spanish (if AC Milan win right now).

United out as Ronaldo hat-trick sees Real progress](http://uk.sports.yahoo.com/030423/21/dye9o.html)
Ronaldo scored three as Real Madrid dumped Manchester United out of the Champions League, despite losing 4-3 in the quarter-final second leg.
The Brazilian marksman netted twice in the early stages of either half, before adding a brilliant third, as United - who opted to leave David Beckham on the bench - carved out a victory, but slipped to a 6-5 aggregate loss.
The win on the night was no more than the Reds deserved, who dominated the game but were caught out by three sucker punches from Ronaldo which were scored with breathtaking brilliance and ultimately dumped them out of the competition.
United started brightly and their determination to make immediate inroads on their 3-1 first-leg deficit was emphasised by Ruud van Nistelrooy, who warmed Iker Casillas’ gloves with a fierce drive from the angle after just three minutes.
However, as United continued to press, a Zinedine Zidane-led break resulted in Ronaldo pulling away from Rio Ferdinand and unleashing a first-time shot from the right-hand side of the area which beat Fabien Barthez on his near post to silence Old Trafford.
United, however, stuck at their task and with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, Ryan Giggs and even Wes Brown trying their luck, the hosts eventually got the goal their pressure deserved in the 43rd minute when van Nistelrooy tapped in his 12th Champions League goal of the season after good work by Solskjaer.
And Sir Alex Ferguson’s side were unlucky not to take a 2-1 lead going into the interval as Real desperately defended their goal under some intense pressure.
However, despite starting the second half in an equally-determined fashion, United were again undone on 50 minutes when a beautiful Real move resulted in Roberto Carlos crossing for Ronaldo to tap home from 10 yards.
But just two minutes later, United were once again back on level terms when Juan Sebastian Veron’s tame shot struck Ivan Helguera’s heel and bobbled past Casillas over the line.
United now needed to gamble if they were to pull off the impossible, and when the ball broke to Ronaldo in the 59th minute, he twisted Brown inside and out before curling a great effort beyond Barthez’s outstretched fingers.
To their credit, United continued to carve out opportunities, with van Nistelrooy clipping the post with a low drive and Solskjaer missing with a diving header when it looked easier to score.
However, substitute Beckham levelled matters on the night with a trademark free-kick which went in off the underside of the bar in the 71st minute. And the England captain was on hand to poke home from a yard out after Fernando Hiero had diverted van Nistelrooy’s shot goalwards.
Now the impossible looked possible, but try as they might, United still needed two goals to progress - a task which proved beyond them against a Real side oozing class and confidence.
Although Ferguson can be pleased with his side’s efforts on the night, it is back to the drawing board as he prepares for another onslaught on the Champions League next season.
Yup AC Milan won!
Ohhhh imagine how big that game will be, neighbors. I expect the whole Milan to take off every players clothes like the they usually do in Serie A crunch games. ![]()
italian teams are back were they ought to be!!! 3 places out of 4 semi-final berths.
Juve - Real…gonna be a replay of the final in '98 (?)
and then the Milan derby:
Inter - AC
![]()
just have a look at the prospects of such great names:
Del Piero, Davids, Nedved, Buffon, Trezeguet (J)
Zidane, Figo, Ronaldo, Raul, Carlos (R)
Vieri, Crespo, Cannavaro, Recoba (I)
Shevchenko, Inzaghi, Rivaldo, Nesta (M)
two of the most exciting foot ball matches ever witnessed yesterday. Hard to say which one was more breath-taking but in the end game of soccer was the winner.
Ferguson is stupid, he should have brought Beckham much earlier, he looked more electric. Ronaldo showed his true class, his hattrick goal was just awesome :k:
It was a growing concern that Italian soccer is on a decline, well 3 out of 4 semifinalists are italian, certainly nullifies that concern.
Great semifinals coming up ![]()
inter and AC Milan both play their home matches at the same stadium "the San Siro" so no home-away mathes here. 2 home matches for both.
