Champion League

thnxAli for keeping this thread alive

i’ll be back here once the second round starts, one comment: Real have really disappointed me recently :nook:

Absolutely dissapointed and so are they this season in Seria A! I don’t know what happened to them…

what are you trying to say???

results of fist day in round two!

Bayer Leverkusen - Barcelona 1-2
Newcastle - Internationale 1-4
Roma - Arsenal 1-3 (Henry 3x)
Valencia - Ajax 1-1
Lokomotiv - Borussia 1-2
Milan - Real 1-0
Basle - Manchester 1-3
Deportivo - Juventus 2-2

Real Madrid are really in a poor run now:
last 6 matches in Primera Divison they’ve won once, lost once and drawn 4
last five matches in Champions league they’ve lost twice and drawn thrice

that’s total:

11 played, 1 w, 7 d, 3 l
:nook: very bad if u look at their players…

yesterday's results:

Ajax - Roma 2-1
Arsenal - Valencia 0-0

Inter Milan - Leverkusen 3-2

Todays results

Barcelona 3 - 1 Newcastle

Borrusia Dortmund 0 - 1 AC Milan

Juventus 4 - 0 Basle

Man Utd 2 - 0 Deportivo La Coruna

Real Madrid 2 - 2 Lokomotiv Moscow

Barcelona maintains their 100% record in the Champions League with a comprehensive win over Newcastle. Disregarding their La Liga performance thus far, they seem like the genuine contenders for the European crown, along with AC Milan and Man Utd. Real Madrid Arsenal and Roma have been disappointing, Juventus and Inter Milan are extremly unpredictable, they can very well go through the final four. Well, still a lot of games to go, so you never know, but I am rooting for Milan.

champions League getting underway again tonight :k:

Matchday 9 18 February 2003
Barcelona 3-0 Inter
Leverkusen 1-3 Newcastle
Arsenal 1-1 Ajax
Roma 0-1 Valencia

have been the results yday..some surprises I should say Arsenal could manage only a draw inspite of the fact that they were playing at home and the Ajax team was quite inexperienced

Barcelona maintained their unbeaten streak in the league ( but 3-0 a surprise scoreline)

todays matches -
Matchday 9 19 February 2003
Madrid 20:45 Dortmund
Milan 20:45 Lokomotiv
Basel 20:45 Deportivo
Man. United 20:45 Juventus

big match Manu vs Juventus and Real vs Dortm.

Barcelona now has the record for the most consecutive wins in the champions league! :k:

while in their own competition they’re struggling to beat relegation, in europe they have almost reached the quarterfinals

Man U 2 Juve 1

Did anyone see this game? I could not believe it when the referee did NOT award a penalty when Ruud van Nistelroy was brought down by teh Juve keeper. The replay showed that it was a blatant attempt to bring down the player and the keeper should have been sent off - the referee played the advantage but Scholes hit the post.

Was the referee right in his decision?

MM

haven't seen the whole match, but was surely pleasently surprised by the second string juve team.......with 7 first team players missing, including the likes of Del Piero, Buffon, Zambrotta

results:

man u - juve 2-1
basel - deportivo 1 -0
ac milan - lokomotive 1-0
real - borussia 2- 1

tonight champions league again :k:

Sorry I meant Premiera Divisiona, Seria A is Italy

Well NesCio pretty exciting much that againt Borussia Dortmund just hope Real can crack Borussia's defence one more time!

I don't wanna see Seaman and Co make it to the sec. round they have played some awfull football in previous games. They don't deserve to be in.
