Chameleons or Character-less?

in other words, logon kay ghubaray ki hawa nikaal denay walay log ya bursting their bubbles.

I would not say they lack character. Just because a person may be at a bar or restaurant with a bar, does not mean they are drinking! Many office parties, get togethers, networking events happen to be at local hip joints, so it is very possible to join them and simply have a soda or virgin drink or nothing at all, but mingle with the people. I find nothing character-less about it. And if they are also able to attend religous events, what is wrong with that? I think they are balancing their life with the demands they have. Some people just have it in them to be able to adapt to different settings, I think it's great. For example, let's say a person can only hang out/talk with people of a certain "type" say religous or bollywood fans......if taken out of their element, they dont have much to bring to the table and can be quite boring.

Re: Chameleons or Character-less?

sara, your questions are getting weirder by the day, can’t you keep’em simple. :bummer:

I know the background of this question by Sara.

Re: Chameleons or Character-less?

Well Its not easy to tell any one’s intentions.
Some ppl don’t mind it. My friends use to drag me to bars. Mostly it was too boring for me.
hmm character hmmm
Some ppl like placing them self at the place where they can have all the fun, and they can call it some thing else.

To cut the crap… bars have A CERTAIN/STRONG character/atmosphere. Pll who are not into that kind of bull**** CANT take it.
So the ones who are there some what belong there!!!

Ppl who have quality meet/find ppl every where(Idea behind bars to meat ppl and stuff)

PlayStation:: :omg: mirch used playstation too ., nice!!

Re: Chameleons or Character-less?

Call me little too proud BUT when you have quality you DONT need mingling to be successful.
Ppl need people with quality... in normal-life or in business enviornment.

Sorry to say neither did I. I was talking in general. :)

Well indeed you get along with them.....in a yucky manner.

Sara only gave a few examples - lets say you can adapt in swanky bar or a sports bar. Would you be able to adapt in biker bar?

Some people are "people person" - they will strike a conversation with anyone at any age and find some grounds of fimiliary with them. By ADAPT - I don't mean change themselves. I mean find a common ground.

Can you hang out with 5 teenagers for a day? or 5 white CEOs for the day? Or 5 moulvis for the day. Some people can do all three without being bored, or judgmental.

Accha? and what may that background be? Mujhe bhi pata ho

Okay in my example, I did intend to mean that person was at teh bar drinking. But I guess it doesn’t matter.
And by character-less…didnt mean to offend anyone..

shoot brb my daal :bummer:

Good point overall. And a point to note is such people aren't doing so for any "gain" or motive or anything, that is just their personality. I have a good friend in real estate but she was working in tech industry for about 10 years. Education wise she has her master's in education. She meets all types of people every day. She LOVES meeting new people & "learning" from them, not always they have common ground, but she takes time in getting to know people, just for that reason, getting to know new things, new experiences. We can be in a mall and she would naturally end up striking conversation with someone or vice versa.....

Also one of my brothers is somewhat like this. He is able to adapt to different types of people and settings. He is also a book/magazine junkie and always interested in reading/learning about so many things aside from his technical background. So he is able to adapt to different social settings/people pretty well compared to us siblings. He can keep you engaged in talking on so many subjects & so many people find that to be such a plus.

Re: Chameleons or Character-less?

I think we're missing Sara's point - it wasn't about bars or masques I think she used those terms to create a distinction between two points.
