And I don't get these senators. Why do they (first Anver Baig and now Dasti, both from PPP btw!) see it fit to summon the PCB chairman after every defeat. They should focus all their energies instead into fixing corruption in politics. Butt is not their personal peon and has better things to do than travelling from Lahore to Islamabad everytime the team loses. Ijaz Butt is only answerable to Asif Ali Zardari who as president is the patron-in-chief of cricket. Not that I agree with it. The head of state should have no direct involvement in such matters but sadly that is how it has always been in Pakistan
Yes there should be an investigation if the team suddenly starts underperforming or surrendering rather than losing games but Pakistan has done well in both the ICC tournaments this year. The test series in Sri Lanka was also closely fought and but for those inexplicable twin collapses the result might have been different. Even in defeat they are going down fighting and that is all we can expect from the players.
