ISLAMABAD : NA Standing Committee on Sports Chairman Jamshed Ahmed Dasti has called in PCB Chairman, Coach and Captain on Pakistan’s defeat in semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy.
Talking to Geo News, Chairman Jamshed Ahmed Dasti said that national cricket team lost the match to New Zealand on purpose in the semi-final of ICC Champions Trophy.
“According to sources the national team also lost the match to Australia on purpose in the round match and that’s why NA Standing Committee on Sports has called in Captain Younis Khan, Coach Intikhab Alam and Chairman Ijaz Butt for investigations”, he added.

Just for the sake of argument, I can pass the allegation of losing to Aus in round match but why would Pakistan lose against NZ in semi-final knockout? :hmmm:

Pakistan fought tooth & nail to win that game. They did not lose, Australia beat them on the last ball.

vs Aus the batsmen may have slacked or underperformed but not the bowlers, the match was decided on the last ball. Anyone who follows cricket could see what they fought , if they wanted to throw away the match the match wouldn't go down to thw wire . It's only logical.
Having said that, I'm glad India got eliminated regardless ;(
We should start a campaign against this Charsi/Dasti. Unbelievable how someone could be so irresponsible. Now whatever the SOB says, the news has reached everywhere.
I say there should be a petition in court against him for treason. He should be unseated, immediatley. No matter to which party he belongs!

Whether true or not, these allegations coming from a Pakistan politician definitely put a question mark on the Pak team's sportsmanship...

I couldn't have done the same since India was never in a position to keep Pak out of the semis/finals :)
