Shahrukh, as we all know, plays a hockey coach in the movie but, you would be surprised to learn that the movie is based on the journey of Negi, a player, who was charged with match fixing allegation in 1982 when India lost to Pakistan in the Asian Games in Delhi.
Negi later went to coach the women’s team that made India proud at the Manchester Common Wealth Games in 2002 as the team won Gold. Before shooting for the movie, Shahrukh spend a lot of time with Negi to understand the character better and in fact, King Khan also insisted Negi to do a cameo in the movie.
Shahrukh Khan has developed high regards for Negi and has done his best to emote the serious character.
You could see the ‘Don’ go ‘Chak De India’ on August 10th 2007.
I really hope this movie is directed well especially since it’s supposed to be about the true story of the Indian women’s hockey team winning Gold and he’s the same director that did “ab tak chapan”. I can’t wait until it comes out. Do you all think this movie’s any good?
he does look really good with a little stubble on his chin and cheeks. I love that really inspiring song that he sings in the teasers. So even if the movie sucks, i'll still love the one song....the meaning is something like:

don't kno bout d song lyrics, but its got a good beat to it and as i love shahrukh khan to bits ill definetly be wathcing it - one thing for sure, hit or not, it will defintlt be different from d usual bollywood films....
