Nice, very informative. May I ask, where you got it from? Website? Is it possible, you can email me the actual picture in one piece? Please. THanks.
My email is in my profile.
How do you know that?

As a matter of fact, according to many historians (both sunni and shia) the father of Hazrat Ibrahim’s ( as ) was ‘Tarakh’ and not ‘Azar’. There are many websites which explain this.
One of them is http://www.ummah.org.uk/khoei/append1.htm
Also, http://www.emamreza.net/eng/lib/ency/chapter5.a/5.htm
Then again, there are many which say that the use of word “Ab” in quran refers to a real father. However Quran used the word “Ab” to refer to Ismail (AS) with reference to Yaqoub (AS), who was his nephew. Also to note that 14:41, Ibrahim (AS) prayed for his parents, and the Quran used the word “Walidiyan” and not “Ab”. “Walidiyan” always refers to real parents.
Heli (?) Parent of Maryam.
Is that the mother?
B/c according to Surah Tehreem:
66:12
"And **Mary the daughter of 'Imran, who guarded her chastity...
First of all, both the sites you have quoted are not from sunni background. Nothing wrong, what others believe but suggesting that it is true from Sunni perspective is wrong. I have come across these sites as well and one other. They all use the same word “sire” instead of “father”. I don’t know why. Here is another link.
http://www.al-islam.org/encyclopedia/chapter5a/8.html
I looked at the translation of Quran by Pikthall and Yousuf Ali which are considered quite authentic translations. I came across the word “father” not “sire” and hence think that Azar was the father of prophet Ibrahim (pbuh). Here is the translation of this verse according to Pikthall.
(Remember) when Abraham said unto his father Azar: Takest thou idols for gods? Lo! I see thee and thy folk in error manifest. [Quran 4:74]
I think there might be difference of opinion in different sects but surely most of sites I have come across nobody has raised this point.
Unfortunately, I don’t have the link to this picture but I will try to find out more information about this and will post it here. If I forget then do remind me.
Thank you so much Khan sahib

I am sure, acording to the beliefs some Islamic communities, there are NO prophets after that.
What I am asking is NOT a prophet chart. What I meant was, if u have the geneology between 2000BC - 1400 AD, then do you have it for the period 1400 AD - 2001 AD?
I am sure muhammed had children, and whole bunch of them. My question is what happened to them? Is there a record?
oh .. so u r kinda asking about the family tree of families that later generated by Mohammad? (pbuh)

According to prophet (pbuh) last sermon, no one is better than anyone because of race, colour or anything else apart from piety.
Saying that, Prophet (pbuh) had few sons and 4 daugters but all sons died at an early age. Some people tried to ridicule prophet (pbuh) that how his generation and message would prosper when he doesn't have any son. God revealed this surah (chapter) in Quran which states that these people will be forgotten and prophet (pbuh) shouldn't be worried about it. And we see that rarely people know who were these people who said these things against prophet while prophet (pbuh) name is known to so many people around the world.
The major difference between Sunni and Shia (two major sects of Islam) is over the issue that who should be the successor of prophet (pbuh). Shia school of thought believes that it should have been the family of prophet (pbuh) while the Sunni school of thought believes that it should have been people who were well suited according to the leadership. Apart from these differences there is agreement over major principles of Islam between the two sects.

I see...so muhammed had no grandchildren thru sons...ok! It will be interesting to see his grandchildren, their grandchildren and follow it until 2001, so we will know if anybody, who is a direct desendant of muhammed lives now.
Also, no offence, if this chart is true then all the human race did start from "ADAM". So we are all of the same paternal order.
Interesting!!
This is the Surah Khan_Sahib is talking about!

Re: Azar and Ibrahim (AS), I am well aware that the weblinks are from shia sites, but they also cross-reference sunni scholars. And why would the matter of Ibrahim's (AS) father be a dispute amongst shia and sunni scholars? This is not something related to muslims. This is only of a historical significance. The actual word used in Quran is "ab", which as I showed is also used for Ismail (AS) and Yaqoob (AS). Now we all know they were not father and son. So, why should we automatically assume that Azar, an idol worshipper, rather one who built idols was the real father of the Ibrahim (AS)? Whereas historians have also provided the name of Ibrahim's (AS) real father, Tarakh. I am sure they must have gotten it from somewhere.
And that is why I said, that according to what I heard from many sources including a sunni aalim, in Lahore, Azar was the one who brought up Ibrahim (AS) and was his guardian, but he was not his real father.
Maybe you know of some other relevant facts about this, instead of just a shia-sunni difference. I am curious to know.

where is chmpagnze in the chart?
Freemind, Semitic religions (like many other religions) reject evolution.
Looking at the chart, Prophet Muhammed(saw) seems to be around the 80th generation from Adam. Giving an average of 35 years for a generation, Adam lived around 2800 years before Muhammed(saw). That would put Adam to have lived at less than 5000 years ago, right?
It is also interesting to note that only names of Prophets from the middle-east are named. Any conjectures as to why this is the case?
I'm also curious - is there any explanation why human beings look so different depending on which part of the world they are from? After all, we all had the same ancestor less than 5000 years back, and we havent seen any major variations occur among the features of the different human races in the last 2000 years of well-documented history.
I’m sure you will post a chart with all Prophets. Will you?

Actually, Islam teaches that the early prophets (such as Adam and Noah) had extremely long lifespans, running into hundreds of years. As time went on, God reduced the lifespan of humans. So Adam (SAWS) lived considerably further back than 5000 years ago.

Where did you get this number "35" ???
Last prophet Mohammed PBUH lived for 63 years, one prophet Nuh (AS) lived for almost 950 years (I beleive).... so does that not mess up your calculations?

Question for Khan_Sahib (or if anyone else can tell me):
According to this chart, Hazrat Musa, Haroon, Yunus and Ayyub almost lived in same era. Is that so?
How is this chart built-up? What is the source?
May Allah SWT guide us all towards right and help us follow the right

There are lots of people who trace their family directly back to the Prophet (SAWS). On the Indian subcontinent, people mark this by inserting the title "Syed" in front of their names. It makes complete sense that there are many thousands of descendants of the Prophet (SAWS) by now.
However, given that Islam teaches that one's ancestors are irrelevant, being a descendant of the Prophet (SAWS) offers no importance to a person whatsoever.
