Its not a culture actually. Or pseudo culture maybe. I hate cell phones to be honest. And I dont think its going to harm the world if they are extinct anyway. I think they should be super expensive so be less affordable by every tom dick and harry.

and, why so? don't you think that they have the same rights as those who are rich enough to afford it...i think it's a good thing that every 'tom, dick and harry' can afford it...i know one thing that it's damn annoying when i hear fone rings in masjid during namaaz...their fones must be checked to be in OFF mode when they enter the masjid premises.

Why cell phone is a must have in our culture? I’m not talking about if you are working or an adult, but every 10/12 years kid have a cell phone in Pakistan like seriously???
What’s the need of cell phone when u don’t go anywhere on home to school?

Is it fashion or what?

-In Pakistan ,It doesn’t cost much that’s why. You pay 5 Rs and get loads of minutes.
-People like to show off oh yeah my latest mobile is this and that.

Now i dont see cell phone as show off.
but there was a time when even checking sms was considered as show off due to limited usage of cell phones..

I was in high school at that time. We had 2 people in the class who had cell phones. One was a Russian guy (Millionaire dad) and the other one spent a huge portion of his savings on a phone that you would now not even take for free.

What i said was related to Pakistan. People actually ask you what model is your mobile phone? Come on, no one asks here in the West.
