I dont know about other countries but good thing about USA is that you cant lie about your age and for most of the part, no celebrity does. Its better to be 35 looking 25 instead of 25 looking 35 anyways so I dont understand the reason of lying about age.

I guess its name is "Please, don't tell this to my mom" (not sure). anyways, in that show, there were "off the camera" things and believe me .. "ali saleem" is what he is on screen .. :p

This is more commonly seen among the female celebrities. It's because actresses don't have a long shelf life in the shallow and fickle entertainment industry. They can only play youthful roles for so long and then all they have left is roles of being someone's mother/older sister/bhabi/grandma, etc. One minute they're on top and the next minute they're replaced by a fresher and more youthful looking starlet in their teens who may not know how act to save her life. All this pressure/competition/limited time in the industry is what makes them lie about their ages. They're so consumed by the competition and fear of being replaced that they don't realize how ridiculous and catty they sound when they lie about their age and compare it to others. But I've seen ordinary women people do that as well. I think it's better to just not reveal your age and treat it as a private matter as opposed to making silly claims about it.
