Deep blue will look lovely and Im sure it will fantastic on you Desigirl! Follow Karisma's cue and keep your neck bare, even a small chain will look overbearing since the kameez is so heavy!
Desigirl is Indian origin so I guess the more Indian styles appeal to her.
Indian outfits appeal to me also and I'm pakistani. What I meant was that if you're getting a designer dress, you should opt for something more unique rather than purchase something that you can typically purchase anywhere in India. Likewise, if I were going to a paki designer, I wouldn't want to purchase an outfit that I can purchase in any small-time bazaar there.

Its nice but I can assure you that for $1250 you could get something a gazillion times better than this..

$1250 seems like a good price for the large amount of kaam on it, i think a paki designer would have definately charged more!

Hmm I think its actually quite a resonable price considering the fact that he is custom making it for me. Manav Gangwani is very well known with the Bollywood stars of India and I feel so happy that he is personally making time out to serve my needs for this dress. Plus the dress is quite heavy and like jubjub said it has an extraordinary amount of work on it. Pictures do an injustice.
What do you guys think about these dresses?

Hmm you know the minute I saw them they reminded me of those chamkeeli razais people in villages use in Pakistan

adra, yes! i had that same reaction cos my nani actually had some of those. aahh, memories of cuddling under those razai's... hahahah

^Yeah I don't really like the dresses either it looks like someone just cut and pasted a variety of materials onto one...but for some reason I find the picture to be rather appealing..they look gorgeous!

They definitely do. Karisma actually looks younger than Kareena.
