He's saying that it isn't part of Islam and people who follow Islam are forbidden to celebrate any festivities that are not part of Islam. If you're going to argue my previous sentence then we are getting on a whole different debate - which frankly, does not belong in this thread nor this forum.

The subtext points to a lack of "tolerance"...what does it mean to "tolerate" another's faith system (or in this case, a faith system from which yours derives) anyway?

Valentine’s day is right around the corner, im sure u guys can get into it again then.
Not nameing names but there are always a few scrooge type characters amoungst us who are refusing to join in the festive spirit.
The concept of 'birr' that Islam has emphasized when it comes to Muslim-non-Muslim relations is totally lost on some of you.
