The article you posted is good and does demonstrate that the government have used some sort of protocol, but I'll stick to my guns and say that the best options were not executed as a priority and with the height of the political arena and America breathing down Musharrafs back, I'm not surprised that what was a thorn now has become world sanction. I think we need to agree to disagree.
I think moving or dismantling such structures is the best option otherwise we are giving a green light to people that they can build a masjid on someone else's land and no one can do jack about it becaus ethey would be labelled as not so good muslims.
did you see the level of madness in this 50 out of 400, thats like 12.5% of hm that have issues ranging from building on someone else's land, to violating building permits and violating specified usage permits.
tomorrow some jackass two bit mullah builds a masjid or builds a madrissa that are not up to code and it falls over and kills people in it, and ppl would be jumping up and down saying that CDA did not do its job.
Now this is Islamabad that we are talking about...the capital where things are fairly under control. would it be acceptable to say that the rest of the country is worse off in terms of violations, even if we say 15% of the masjid and madrissas are either illegal or not built to code/specs then does it give you an idea of how massive this problem is?
50 in Islamabad...that would man several hundred in karachi, same in Lahore, think about other cities and villages.

if we assume that the ratio of ppl to such illegal or code violating masjid and madrissas is the same across the country, as an estimate we have approximately 10,000 such structures.
so obviously looking the other way has not worked, and will not work, and bowing down to these idiots just because the bldg the constructed has a badge of a masjid on it, is simply wrong.

There are so many mosques in Pakistan it ridiculous... Azaan is given from twenty different loudspeakers in the same neighborhood. I dont mind hearing the Azaan, but I would much perfer it not be drowned out by uncoordinated gagle of noises that it becomes when twenty different people are saying it.

if you support people stealing land to build mosques than I cant do anything about it.
I would never be in support of a masjid being torn down that is in a legal place, except if due to civic or national interests it needs to be relocated...
but illegal structures...are jus that, illegal, and the surah you posted does not apply to them. I hope you can realize that.

I admitted nothing, except the validity of the hadith. The bulldozing of masajid is clear, the ownership of that land by the state is not. The onus of saboot lies on thou 'minions of mush', that:
1) The land was disputed
2) That the owners were identified
3) That everything possible was done to preserve the masajid
If not then keep your peace ... I told you before we will have to agree to disagree.

someone who commits a crime is a criminal, knowingly taking over land that does not belong to you is a crime, using the building for purposes other than for what you have permission for is a crime, building a structure which does not meet code is a crime. the person or entity commiting these acts is thus criminal.
Now as you can see in what i have posted already, its not that something was started today. This has been talked about for years. It is CDA who started this, Musharraf was too occupied with other stuff at that time to really bother with it. regardless this is teh right thing to do.
The saboot burden lies equally, if the mullahs thatrun the joint show up with deed papers, then there is no issue. If they can give bayaans and have their little terrorists take over libraries, surely they have enough time to find the deed of trust...its public information btw. ..that is if they have it.
Its your assumption that CDA does not have this info.
