Who here has cats/dogs as pets? I love the cute little dogs like the chihuahua. Or I like cats as they are babies and get fugly as they get bigger. I used to have a Tom Cat but we had to give him away because my mom decided its a health hazard for us. 
That was a long time ago, but now they’re just too much maintenance

no pets, had two kittens from 97-2000 but had to give them away because I developed allergies. had a dog during my undergrad, but when i moved for masters he stayed back in the fraternity house. did not want to drag the poor thing to a small studio in city center with only me around in the evenings when he had 60-70 guys looking after him and a big house, yard and right in front of expanses of green fields on campus..
now he is on one of my friends parents farm as he is pretty old. I may go see him one of these days before his days are gone.

had him for years and then had to give him away because of Noor's allergies.

oh don’t talk about dogs!!! I just can’t stand them. They have this irritating habit of sniffling at everything. Why can’t they just mind their own business!!!

i had 2 siamese twin cats one of which i gave to my cousin and kept the other. my mom friggin fed it daal and cookies 
and it died from diarrhea and food poisoning!

Hehe. My friend does that. She feeds her dog normal human food, I just thing he is spoiled. He gets baked duck in a plate, and she acts like the dog is a part of the family. Of course now the dog turns his nose on 'prepared dog food'. Jeez, I never understood that. And during X-mas...they have bowls of chocolate around the home.....the dog somehow gets into that, tears thru wrapper, and gets SUPER hyper with chocolate. I always thought choco was lethal for puppies?

hehe....I've got a cat....i got him when i was in year 2....Now im in 2nd year university!
I think he's still got some years left in him inshallah!
But seriously, having pets especially when your young is incredibly benifical and broadens a child's development. The only problem is that dogs aren't suitable/compatible with muslim lifestyle etc etc.

Dogs are too needy, always barking and sniffing and urgh. I don't hate them, but I couldn't live with one.
Cats freak me out, its the eyes. They are all evil. Especially kittens.
Fish on the other hand are perfect. They mind their own buisness and do not answer back.
I would love a pet snake though and maybes a mouse or two.

3 cats, homer, tiger and maxoo, well his name is max but hes my baby so i call him maxooo where as my sister makes fun of him and calls him maxi pad
plus 3 fishies which i dont want anymore so im going to donate them to the pet store.
