Re: Proper response to cartoon
Really Faisal?
Cartoons cannot kill anyone, lighting a building on fire can.
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Hopefully, yes. Although I kinda agree with you that setting fire to embassies may seem like a bad idea. Those poor dodos in there didn't had much to do with publication of the cartoon, except that they share the same passport. Now, if someone torches the building of that freaking newspaper, then its another matter, ofcourse.
Re: Proper response to cartoon
A. We use your prophet to justify killing innocents.
B. We make a cartoon with your prophet having a bomb.
Nope we use freedom, democracy, progress and other heart warming words along with missiles and helicopters to kill innocent, children and women and we like to run over 14 year old boys and foriegn reporters with tanks. Finally we use shock and awe to subdue nations into submission. In essence we use "Might is Right".
Re: Proper response to cartoon
books can't kill anyone yet the words used to describe "how to kill" can... moronic excuse
Re: Proper response to cartoon
so because you have been insulted the building that the insult came out of should be destoyed?
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Is'nt it the same approach Israel uses in destroying the houses of the innocents ....saying that suicide bomber or the attack originated from that place?
Re: Proper response to cartoon
^^ what's the difference it is just a building
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Kleem, UTD may not going to like the taste of his own medicine
Re: Proper response to cartoon
I don't support that action either but they do clear out the houses before taking them down.
Re: I want to register my protest
I'm not referring to anyone that is defending their home. But since you have brought it up.....why defend your home in the name of Allah? Do it because that's your right as a citizen in the world.
Are you referring to our and brits forces ...that is not nice. Afterall they are spreading freedom and democracy one road bomb at a time or was the mission over after shock and awe?
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Ha Ha ...dont make me laugh...they do not. They fire without a regard of innocent lives lost. It has been shown over and over again and has been reported on various news outlets.
Re: I want to register my protest
^^ nono they had Saudi-Arabia next on the list, then Iran and then Pakistan...tsk tsk, they can't even handle Afghanista...no need to mention Iraq.
Re: Proper response to cartoon
umm yea they do clear it out by killing the occupants.
Re: Proper response to cartoon
How easily we say this yet the reality is horrendous...
Re: Proper response to cartoon
sadly enough...
Re: I want to register my protest
May Allah forgive the sins of those who died & grant them peace that they never experienced in this lifetime.
Your protest has been received, catalogued and filed...
Thank you for submitting your protest and please don't hesitate to do it again...
Regards
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Ok, then that addresses why others shouldn't also disrespect the prophet. But one simple question... why is there not anger exhibited toward the terrorists who claim the prophet as their inspiriation? Why isn't that seen as a much worse show of respect? Or even worth protesting at all?
Re: Proper response to cartoon
^ There is. Only you chose to ignore it because it doesn't fit in your carefully crafted stereotype of muslim scholars. There is not a single muslim scholar worth his salt who agrees to Osama's definition of fighting this "war" and they speak out publicly against it at every opportunity. All muslim organizations in US, including CAIR, repeatedly say that Al-Qaida and terrorist misuse the name of Islam. Yet, you chose to ignore all that and instead focus solely on Osama's audio and video productions, and say "ahaa!"
underthedome,
You see the problem is, that the values you have grown up, presumably suggest that everyone is fair game for mocking and laughter, and this is a sign of sense of humor and enlightenment and "not a big deal" etc. Unfortunately for you, one billion muslims do not share that view. You will all do this poor world of ours a big favor, if you accept and comply with these cultural differences. Should be part of a mandatory cultural sensitivity training. Or put simply, education.
Re: Proper response to cartoon
Just a question Faisal bhai jaan...
What has Islam got to do with the war of Shaikh Osama against the USA? It's just one man and those who agree with him to stand up to the atrocities committed by the USA around the world...
It's like Che Guevara or Rosa Parks or the French resistance against the Germans...Shaikh Osama considers USA a threat to the world and has stood firm against it...(If he ever did harbour such ideas)...
So, what has one man standing up for the rights of others against a prodigious killing machine, got to do with Islam?
1.5 million people died in Iraq, we kept sleeping, in Palestine, Kosova, Bosnia, Chechnya...When rebels stand up to fight them with whatever little weapons they have, they are called Islamic extremists...
Why should any Muslim be apologetic for the actions of any revolutionary? Why does Islam have to be protected?
Heck...Don't mix religion with one man's stand against global oppression...
