just because palestinains are wrong in their approach to this does not automatically mean that israel is acting in a correct and responsible manner.

Pollsters Israel conducted a survey in which Israelis were asked if they would give up the West Bank and East Jerusalem if Arabs and Palestinians make peace with them.

Over 70% of them responded in favor of this.

The Israelis are not war mongering blood thirsty beasts out to kill Arabs. They want peace. War has been thrust upon them and a war driven by such hatred towards them that some of them have become like their enemies.

Look how easily the Israelis withdrew from Gaza when the right wingers in Israel predicted an Israeli civil war.

Its the Palestinians who need to be smart about this and engage the moderate Israelis in talks for peace.

That land belonged to Jordan and Egypt which they occupied it for 19 years and did not give the Palestinians their own state. Israel gave up the Sinai to the Egyptians for peace. Not really. Israel was created on areas which had a jewish majority mostly on coastal areas going from haifa to tel aviv and west jerusalem which always had a historic jewish population

the farming communities you talk about existed around the suburbs of tel aviv and haifa as anti-jewish policies by the ottoman empire had led the expulsion of jews living in jerusalem which led them to create tel aviv in 1909 and to support that area to build farm land

once the british took over in 1918, more jews arrived but the real tidal wave of jewish immigration only began after 1948 when Israel was created when the Jewish population went from 100,000 in 1947 to 1,100,000 by 1949 in Israel

'Israel First' crowd is taking every opportunity to malign Palestinian when infact they and Israel have not been honest partners in peace.

Carter is very blunt in his book: 'Israel First' crowd in America has suppressed all discussion and debate of Israel illegal tactics to annex Palestinians lands in occuied West Bank. It is the continous occupation of Palestinian land and creating 'apartness' among Palestinina villages and communites via the Wall, checkpoints and highways that is pushing Palestinians to violent tactics out of sheer desperation.

Israelis are no saint. They are building settlements in West Bank at a break neck pace. There are billboards hoisted in the West Bank that advertiser 100,00 shekel subsidies to every settler.

This is what we don't talk about in America. 'Israel First' lobby and their friends drown out any criticism of Israel and it's illegal tactics by focusing on acts of desperation of poor Palestinians.

There will be on peace in Palestine or Israel until Palestinians are treated with respect.

In any case, Palestinians were not involved in the initial Arab invasion...nor was the invasion done at their behest. You're conflating two different issues...doesn't work.

In any case, as the original inhabitants, they had every right to invite in whomever to secure their rightful home. Vast majority of Israeli's by that time were European settlers...and it was these racist Europeans who were agitating for their own state.

A land without people for a people without land...that was the slogan...inspite of the fact it was well known who inhabited the land prior to the colonizing movement. We can't fault the European Jews for that no more than we can fault racist Americans for their views of blacks as less-than Human. They were a product of their environment.

Israel was attaked from the get-go. First by her neighbors who didn’t want to live in peaceful co-existence, then a long string of attacks against civilian targets.

It's an official Israeli policy to steal Palestinian land and build settlements. They parrot the same lines over and over again instead of acknowledging how Israel continues the cycles of violence (which naturally helps with land grab). Until that happens, the cycle of violence will continue.

i love how ppl say this!!!! Its so convenient to be a bigot when you defend the state of israel's actions! i wonder if there is any other way then bigotry to defend that state's actions! This whole idea that all palestinians want to wipe israel or all jews off the planet is such a facade! a means to demonize the palestinians. There is just no comparison, if u look at the violence inflicted on both parties you relaize one is definetely far far far more violent then the other!!! the ones party that is viciously far more violent is Israel!!! but yet, even though the violence inflicted on them is of such immense magnitude - palestinians are the ones who are are looked upon as the inhumane ones.

Israel has never recognized the independance of the Palestinian people, or thier right to soveriegnty - give me one good reason why the Palestinians should give the israeli state a right that state denies them!!?!?!
