In Pakistan and India Cardiac Arrests after age of 40 are common and the reason being:
Spicy food.
Ghee (Desi Ghee).
There are many people in the number of 1000s die from Heart fail or suffer a Cardiac Arrest per month in Pakistan.
We can not avoid it because it is what we grew up to believe in. Salan agger chat pata na ho to maza nahee aata. Aor ghee chopri roti.
I also believe that and usually take like one raw green chilly with every lunch and dinner. But there is a way to believe this tradition and prevent yourself from suffering a cardiac arrest.
Climbing Shairs burns 20% of more calories on the scale prior to the usual workout and tradmill runs.
Also known as Cardio.

also I am just talking about Cardiac Arrests. Try to remain on topic.
"chest burn"/heartburn has nothing to do with your heart. it is irritation of the lining of your esophagus and stomach.
spicy food can trigger angina if you have pre-existing heart conditions. just like exercise can. this doesnt mean spicy food is the culprit for heart disease.
well..Can you please elaborate on that post? Spicy food in Pakistan are common so are pre-existing heart desease so I compared. =/
I love spicy food myself but the problem is It can cause alsar and maybe a heart stroke.
Majorly, Ghee causes it. Which westerns and few muslim countries do not use.
EDIT: When I eat Daal chawal? I always eat a raw green chilly with it. For 3 years I've done that and then it started giving me stomach pains and chest pains and heart burns and my right arm became soo weak. The logic of Spicy food can cause cardiac arrest came from that time. I dont know whats your case.
I will reiterate what queer has already said. There is no correletion tween spice and ACS.
gastrosesophageal reflux disease/Heart burn ... caused by regurgitation of acidic stomach contents into the esophagus (tube that connect mouth to stomach) is often confused for chest pain ... but has nothing to do with it ....
High cholestrol, acquired by years of generous ghee usage has a lot to do with cardiac disease ...
However, I will say this ... symptoms of angina can also present or become pronounced after eating calorie heavy meals in folks with advanced cardiac disease ... then again this really shouldn't be generalized ...
you should have a chat with your own doc about your symptoms.
I think the biggest reason for heart disease and heart attacks over there is because of unhealthy eating habits, genetic predispositions and sedentary lifestyles.
