I seriously doubt it, and moreover, it’s part of nature for one animal to consume another. Whether slaughterhouses are humane is another matter entirely, but I doubt we’ll stop eating and craving meat.

I think our future generations will develop food that will taste like meat. Or they will produce meat laboratories where they will grow and produce meat. I really believe future civilizations will be advanced enough to do this and will not need to kill for meat. As weird and unnatural as that sounds, it is a very good possibility.
