Canadians are so nice!!

So today I took in my cellphone to a Rogers outlet to get a sim card and a pay as you go deal. The guy said my phone would work here and asked if I wanted any special number ( I think he was Arab), and I said yeah just give me a nice number please. And he gives me a 786 number, so I was like cool! And then turns out my phone wont work here and I’ll have to take it elsewhere to get unlocked for like $50 so I was very disappointed. Then he goes back somewhere, comes back with an old nokia and says, “here use this while you dont have your phone”. I’m like who’s phone is this? And he says, just use it while yours isnt locked. I was looking at him like he was nuts … back at home noone hands you a free phone!! So I took it, bewildered but happy. So is this regular, Rogers just gives free cellphones to people? I mean I only spent 20 bucks on the sim?

Rogers have the worst customer service. They dont have fixed prices and SIM ranges from $25 - $50.

But yes: We are Gen. nice up here. Must be due to the weather or something.

A average Canadian is friendly. They share the same life style so help each other around. But again there are bad eggs everywhere so Canada has it fair share.

BTW, Roger is not that great when it comes to cusotmer service, but again who is better?

reminds of the story a teacher told us...50 years ago there was this guy lending TV in the remote countryside of france for one month....and after one month the family did not want to let go the tv, so they were buying it;)....the guy started his TV business this way, and is multi miilionaire now.....
