Can Younis Khan lead this side to greater feats post WC 07

Re: Can Younis Khan lead this side to greater feats post WC 07

If there is anything to learn from past 4 years is that we need PCB to get its act together. I do not think it is the captain or the players that let us down in past 4 years rather PCB, who despite given opportunity after opportunity disappointed us deeply. We had so much talent that despite our key players out, some of fans believed that this team still can go deep in the tournament, the execution, grooming and strategy, which is Board's responsibility was invisible.

We need a Chairman who has not only played some Cricket but also knows some. Who will finally get the domestic Cricket fixed and induce discipline, professionalism and structure. This is the only way forward. Just look at Greme Smith of South Africa, no where he looked like a captain from start, but because their Cricket Board is so well established, he groomed into one and now playing a lead role in helping their team move deeper in the World Cup.

Safe choice: Younis Khan/Mohammad Yousuf

High Risk/High Reward Choice: Shahid Afridi

I personally would go for the latter. If nothing else, with afridi atleast we'll be a team with attitude and FIGHT. The man has passion and fire; he's the total oppisite of inzi and yousuf and definitely not the happy-go-lucky type of younis khan.
I think with responsibility we'll see afridi thrive.
