Can you...

Re: Can you...

And your point is?

Re: Can you...

u didn't get it?

Re: Can you...

KKF, panjabi does not have to be written in Gurumukhi.

Yes by all means a language does require alphabets (otherwise one may call it boli/dilect only)...

...... but Punjabis when migrated from India refused gurumukhi rasmul khat and wanted persian rasmulkhat for themselves.

Re: Can you…

LOL hareem :hehe: such a pain in the kya kahoon

Re: Can you...

there you go...that was my point by the way! thank you :) i just didn't wanna argue and cause friction.

Re: Can you...

LMAO hareem.

Re: Can you...

By all means argue and make your point without beating around the bush. This is what AV is all about.

By the way, I still don't get your point. So please elaborate in simple english and it won't cause any friction, I promise.

Re: Can you…

^ ‘Arguments’ are bad.

(Let’s not argue on this point. :D)

Re: Can you...

Paai Khalil Khan Fuktard, will you please stop annoying the muck out of people? You can write all scripts with a pen stuck up your rear, we get that. Now simmer down a notch. Jeez.

Re: Can you...

I am Not a Mohajir ... :D And my identity is not only the national language of Pakistan that I speak but also the green flag and passport i carry with me ..

what irks me is the childish ' mera Baharat MahaN - baqi sab peekha PakwaN ' behavior carried by many Indian posters here - Specially the Indian Lost Muslim crowd ..

Re: Can you…

Urdu+punjabi

yes, yes and yes… and yes it’s very important to me.

p.s: hareem and Jay :rotfl:

Re: Can you…

I can read urdu, walk urdu, talk urdu! can understand punjabi and talk a bit too.

and it is important because it allows me to impress people with my saqeel urdu!

jokes aside, I dont think it helps or bothers me in daily life but every once in a while, I like to read a good urdu book and reading helps..

Re: Can you...

Since when did religion start defining who speaks what language. Since when did language become a matter of "should." funny.

Re: Can you…

I learnt to read and write, but speaking urdu is still a task for me…:bummer:

Re: Can you...

No pashto speakers on this thread yet! :(

My mother tongue is Pashto. Speak it fluently, but not perfectly. Those with a thicker Pashto accent I find a little difficult to understand at first but manage to get the gist after a while. Cannot read or write in it tho.

Can speak Urdu well enough to hold a conversation, but do have to pause sometimes to think of the correct word / susbstitute with English :) I understand someone speaking Urdu perfectly tho. Can read and write Urdu also, to a very basic level tho it takes me twice as long as normal.

Re: Can you...

Yes, 4 languages fluently, was able to ever since I was 5 because I was 'equally' exposed to all of them

3 of these I can read and write in as well.

Re: Can you...

Panjabi has it's own alphabet system? I never knew that. It sounds so cool though, I wish I knew panjabi.
