If i went to the gym and did aerobics and all the toning exc..will it be the same thing?
Icant do the gillian thingy at home cos i can only watch in on the computer which is in my room and trust me, the floorboards would give in, if any jum;ing was to occur here...i cant take it downstairs on the laminate flooring. so basically is there an alternative..
i do treadmill power walking, 30 mins daily
and i go gym 4 times a week to do aerobics and the bum tums and thigs classes....hehe..
and also do situps at home...

nadz i have been trying to lose weight for ages and ages and nothing has worked apart from this tbh!
if your gymming you have to combine cardio with weights. I know big sweaty men do weights but it really boosts your metabolism.
Ask people at the gym to help you out. You have to sweat you have to feel the burn.
Does the gym have classes? classes are really good. especially spin classes.
You can get DVD on amazon of the excercise if you want to do it somewhere else.
And yeah i dont eat any carbs just one toast at breakfast and a cheat meal on sat night.
If i am craving carbs i have something at lunch. dont eat carbsfor the last meal.
Tbh if you want to see results in two months you have to put in the work and sacrifice

do jilliam michaels 30 day shred religiously every day its amazingly tough but amazingly affective.
Go online and calculate your BMR take 500 calories from it and eat that many calories a day for me its like 1200 calories and do the 30 day shred it works amazingly!
as long as you stick to it that is!
I 2nd that! You'll drop inches in the first week and it's a great way to drop a size. But you gotta work those 22 minutes a day and really push yourself.
So would that count as a drop in 1 size or 2..

Nadz, u can't spot reduce stomach flab. In other words you can't reduce stomach flab with only a stomach exercises. You also have to combine them with cardio...such as running. Running is not a spot reducing exercise.......rather running helps you lose flab all over the body including stomach. Which makes it more effective than only doin ab exercies. So combine the tow.
Also, if you combine cardio with weights (lift arm weights), you'll lose weight faster.
And to trim inches off your waist, do oblique crunches (bicycle crunch). I posted a video of a bicyclce crunch once. You can youtube it to see a demo.

I dont eat any carbs no, the reason being:
We need energy to burn when doing activity, when we eat carbs this turns into sugar and is the first thing you burn when excercising or doing activity so you have to burn all that off before burning fat. Also excess carbs after its turned into sugar if its not used gets turned into fat and stored especially in the back and hips.
Kick aerobics is fantastic for burning fat do loads of areobics classes especially ones that combine weights.
You can lose a dress size in 2 months definatly IF you work hard. You have to change your diet and really up the excercise
If you ahve fish fingers then fine, its lots of protien and not toooo bad for you just look at the calories just dont have 5 a day.
Doing walking on the tredmill does not much for you unless your walking on a high incline.
Try the cross trainer its so sos os much better for losing weight!
Try and do like 15 mins cross trainer or tredmill if thats all you are comfortable then go to classes which are aerobic.

I think doing 4 classes of aerobics and 2 toning sounds fantastic and then have 1 rest/recovary day because you will ache like hell.
Do whatever takes your fancy as long as it works you hard, do a dfferent one every day! it doesnt matter what time you excercise just dont eat a huge meal before hand eat a meal like 1-2 hours before you go.
Yup the jillian excercise is done daily but it does work its only like 20 mins long!
Your gym doesnt have a cross trainer no way! but use the tredmill to warm up on for like 15 mins before your class.
All you have to do is to be in an energy deficit and you will lose weight so diet and excercise but you have to do both properly for it to work, unless you have a medical problem it will work. Trust me i have been trying for ages and now that im not cheating and getting my act together its working for me, but i do work hard and sweat and look ugly while im excercising but its what you gotta do.
You wont bulk up, women dont bulk up easily at all unless they are lifting really heavy weighs every day and eating tonnes of protein and taking sterioids so dont worry about that, Lifting weights boosts your metabolism so even when your sitting doing nothing your body will burn more calories than it used to.

gym does have cross trainer, sorry i meant i didnt have one. the gym has one but i dnt use it, i dont use the treadmill or stuff there cos its real expensive the classes are cheaper for me like the aerobics etc they use weights in the classes, thats the only tool they use there.
cool i will be doing this soon, i have noticed that i havent lost weight on the scales, but i have lost a lil bit in inches, my tops are little looser and stuff but the scales are not moving, in fact im sure they heavier......:\

hey is there an alternative to the jillian.....something of the same that i could do in the gym classes, i wont be able to get the dvd anytime soon, so need to move my **** and even if i had the dvd, i wont be able to do in the house as a] family always in, someones always and hogs the tv, and b] i cant do it in my room no tv, and not enough space

for my wedding i got one and a half month andi needed to lose 4 inches off my tummy my face was also puffy so i joined a gym but at that time it was getting renovated so i had only 30 mins and very limited machines even the treadmill was broken but thet had a vibrating machine that had a belt attached to it and believe me it worked wonders so if there is a vibration machine in ur gym go for it or if u cant find one then try dancing like that u must have seen music videos in which ppl shake there whole body as in belly dancing
i had to get my lehanga altered it was loose a week before wedding
but i limited my carbs to minimal drank lots of water slept well and when i went shopping i used to buy chaanas n eat them it gave me all the energy for shopping and also kept me on track
my mother was very concerned about my skin so i did no carb diet one week and the other week i ate only salads fuit juices for breakfast and lunch n for dinner i used to eat chicken steamed or grilled
if u dont have enough space in ur room then try walk away the pounds dvd its easy n doesnt require much space or ask ur mom to go for a walk with u in the evening i did that i gave me some private time with ammi n she also got in shape eik ticket say doo maazay
and just relax as much as u can listen to good music etc best of luck

i go on treadmill every day for 30 minutes, but it did not help me to lose weight at all. i drink a lot of water. i took senna tablets to relief but sometime not help and only few time help, i eat lot of fruits and vegetable (curry).

Nadz, I don't mean to hijack your thread, but I have a similar question for alvena or others who know...
If I don't want to lose weight but only replace fat with muscle, is the 30 day shred still a good option? I'm afraid of looking muscular like Jillian! And do we continue that even after the 30 day period? Should I eat more because I dont want to lose weight? Basically, I want to have more muscle, tone and shape at the same weight but less flab. I'm 115-118 at 5'2''.
