can we eat with non-muslims?

Re: can we eat with non-muslims?

I was going to say that as well, the Prophet :saw: accepted the invitation of the Jewish woman who tried to poison him… Although whether the food was ate at her house with her menfolk or sent to the Prophet’s :saw: place, I don’t know…

Another incident which comes to mind is when the Prophet :saw: announced the Religion of God to his relatives he invited them to a banquet, the occasion when 'Ali :razi:/:as: was the first amongst them to stand up and embrace Islaam.

Also we’re allowed to marry women from the People of (previous) Scripture (Christian and Jewish) so obviously we Muslims’ll be eating with them if they’re our wives or mothers…

As long as the food is not Haraam I don’t think there is anything wrong. I don’t know why we like to invent rules and make things hard, we’re not Jews, I know some strict Jews don’t like eating with Goyim but I don’t know of such laws in Islaam.
