Ofcourse not. Hindus do not do that. This is just malicious and ignorant lies and propoganda for who knows what reason.

Perhaps everyone with any such questions should expand thier powers of observation, meet more people of different faiths, and excercise thier reasonong abilities. It may help followers of both religions to be more reasonable about things that are different from what they are used to.

What about in the reverse situation, are hindus allowed to eat muslim food, as in 'halaal' food? I know for most sikhs, halal food is totally forbidden. halal to them is like haram food is seen by us...well according to a friend it is anyway...

I know most hindus don't eat meat...my understanding re sikhs is that halal meat is forbidden as it is considered as 'ritualised' meat, ie. having undergone a religious ritual not within their religion

Any sikhs here, please do correct me if I am mistaken...thanks :)

Can Muslims eat in restaurants owned and directed by people who are not worshipping Allah? For example, Chinese restaurants. Keeping in mind that the type of food in these places is not HARAM in itself but the people making this food are KOFFAR.

Answer :

Al-hamdu lillah (praise be to Allah). There is no objection for a Muslim to eat from food that a kaafir (unbeliever), whether polytheist or otherwise, has cooked, as the issue of cooking does not involve slaughtering according to Islamic guidelines so that we would require the person to be from ahl il-kitaab (People of the Book) among the kuffar. In fact, it is only a matter of cooking, so the only issues that concern us are cleanliness and the avoidance of najasa (impurity), and likewise that nothing haram (forbidden) is mixed with the food such as khamr (wine or alcoholic beverages) or lard.

May Allah protect us from harm, evil and the things he has forbidden (al-muharramaat).

I personally dont like to eat meals prepared by hindus, i've had samosas a few times, from this hindu shop, but ive stopped eating from there.. I heard some hindus sprinkle cow urine on food, thats part of their religous beliefs.

Hindus are not allowed to eat halal food. It is believed that the death of the animal should be quick. But not many Hindu butchers to do this job. Result people have resorted to consume halal food especially outside India where only halal meat is available.

My take, don't eat food prepared by kafirs.. eat food prepared by muslims only. I have some Hindu and Sikh friends but when it comes to lunch and dinners, we part our ways. You have to understand that as a muslim you have lot of obligations and eating food prepared by non-muslims is haraam.

Look what you wrote my friend.. In undivided Punjab, my family never shared food or whatever with Hindu or Sikh families.. they are different people, different customs, different race altogether.. Do you know Hindus are but-parast(stone worshippers) kafirs who can't be equated with us? Sikhs on the other hand, don't consider prophet(pbuh) as their messenger...
