Oh the old argument of ‘if you don’t believe in all the cooked up stories, then you are not a believer, and if you are not a believer, then I am not going to waste my time convincing you.’
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I cant make takfir on the issue of ‘shadow’ alone. I never did either, so i dont know where you heard this old argument
However its true that one of the version of the reply i did not post was basically ‘i cant help you’
Its not a cooked up story, its a simple virtue of Master of the two Worlds
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I don’t know how to put it, but I try.
With out magical powers, still prophets(saw) life and personality was…
ok I can only say what I felt…
I read the biographies from non Muslims, yet I was speechless over and over and over.
I wonder if there was any other life like that, ever.
I can be amazed, like person A, WHILE knowing non mythical stuff.
I think that is more amazing then myths them selves.
From you.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
Nope, that did not contain takfir. The defence of the Ahlus Sunnah does not mean a questioner becomes non muslim. However it does warn ‘you are fighting the believers’ ![]()
Lol, hazrat vroom aur oon kee dairh eent kee masjid.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I honestly did not understand, what is dairh eent - I come from a non urdu background so excuze
also last i checked you had set up a solo belief and you asked people not to make takfir on you - hows that going?
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I am not asking to be convinced.
I am merely asking for someone to substantiate. That can be done by providing authentic hadiths.
Why would you refuse to share such knowledge?
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
i gave you a link
I’ll post it again
Prophet(
and
“… Literally all Ahle Sunnah Scholars and shuyooks of all Silsilas confirm the fact that Prophet Mohammad’s (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)shadow did not appear in sunshine or in the moonlight…”
And the article that hazrat Vroom gave link of concluded with an argument which pretty much is like shooting yourself in the foot.
“If the shadow of Prophet*(صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)was there, then* we could have found its mention in many Ahadith in Saha Sitta.”
Lol. The counter argument is If the shadow of Prophet*(صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)was NOT there, then* we could have found its mention in many Ahadith in Saha Sitta.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
true, based on that argument we will have to retreat to our own manhajs and our own hadith sciences, and our own source of guidance
There is actually a lot of differences between us, so many that i do not know where to begin hence ‘i’ll give u a link’ to someone even slightly influenced
I’m going with The Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam did not have a shadow, you?
And dont you see as necessary to say the Mainstream Islamic view is represented here:
“… Literally all Ahle Sunnah Scholars and shuyooks of all Silsilas confirm the fact that Prophet Mohammad’s (صلى الله عليه و آله وسلم)shadow did not appear in sunshine or in the moonlight…”
Question is if your not mainstream as highlighted above, how cut off from Muslims are you?
Show me in Quran or Sahaai Sitta.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
And how self centered are we that we are presenting our claims as a proof. ![]()
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
Go to Allah Most High
for those of slight understanding it shows how strong the position is
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
First of all we must follow the clear ayahs of the Quran [Words of Almighty Allah] and not our emotional beliefs.
To say that the Prophet (saw) is a Human is in no way an insult or to downgrade him.
Human Kind is the best creation of Allah Almighty. And the Prophet (saw) is the best of the Human Kind.
Please let’s ponder over the following ayahs Prophet/Prophets is/are just like other Human beings but are chosen from the Mankind to deliver the message of Allah Almighty.
Say (O Muhammad): "I am only a human being like you. It is inspired in me that your Ilah (God) is One Ilah (God - Allah), therefore take the Straight Path to Him and obedience to Him, and seek forgiveness of Him. (41:6)
"Say (O Muhammad), ‘If the oceans were ink for the words of my Lord, the ocean would have run out before my Lord runs out of words, even if we supplied twice as much ink.’ Say (O Muhammad), 'I am no more than a human being like you. It has been revealed to me that your God is ONE GOD. Thus, anyone who looks forward to meeting his Lord shall lead a righteous life, and NEVER SET UP ANY IDOLS beside his Lord.'" (18:109-110)
There is no hint of him being different type from other Human Beings?
We not talking about purity and piety here. In this everyone agrees that the Prophet (saw) cannot be matched in these fields. In all attributes he is par excellence.
Take note that it was the Mushrikeen of Makkah who did not accept that the Prophets should be or could be a Human Being like themselves. They wanted someone made out of light, like an angel to be a Prophet!
And they say: What is the matter with this Messenger that he eats food and goes about in the markets; why has not an angel been sent down to him, so that he should have been a warner with him? 25:7
Allah (saw) reminds the Mushrikeen that the Prophet (saw) has been sent from among them and that the Prophet (saw) is a Human Being as he has Human needs.
And We sent not (as Our messengers) before thee other than men, whom We inspired. Ask the followers of the Reminder if ye know not? **21:7/B]
We gave them not bodies that would not eat food, nor were they immortals. 21:8
And He Says: (And We never sent before you (O Muhammad (saw)) any of the Messengers but verily, they ate food and walked in the markets, …)B][25:20].
We never sent before thee any messengers but lo! They verily ate food and walked in the markets. And We have appointed some of you a test for others: Will ye be steadfast? And thy Lord is ever Seer. 25:20
"Say (O Muhammad (saw): "Glorified (and Exalted) be my Lord (Allah) above all that evil they (polytheists) associate with Him! Am I anything but a man, sent as a Messenger?""[17:93].
And
*He says: “Now has come unto you a Messenger from amongst yourselves: it grieves him that you should fall into distress: ardently anxious is he over you. To the Believers is he most kind and merciful.” ***9: 128 **
*He also says: “It is He who has sent amongst the unlettered a messenger from among themselves, to rehearse to them His signs, to sanctify them, and to instruct them in Scripture and Wisdom – although they had been, before, in manifest error.” *[62: 2]
Thus, Prophets and Messengers, due to their human qualities, are exposed to sleep and wake up, be sick and get well, come under trial and face difficulties even more than any other human being.
The Prophet (saw) stated that "Angels were created from light and the Jinn from a flame of fire and Adam (as) from what was described to us, i.e. from dust". **[Reported by Imam Muslim] **
Lo! the likeness of Jesus with Allah is as the likeness of Adam. He created him of dust, then He said unto him: Be! and he is. 3:59
The Prophet (saw) is a human being from the progeny of Adam (as).
However, Prophets and Messengers are the chosen persons from among human beings, and Allah has reared them under His protection and care so that they can deliver His Message in its pristine form.
There are two other creations mentioned in the Quran; the Angels and the Jinn. The Prophets were not from these two but the third that is Human Kind.
Having said the above:
1) The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) having a shadow.
Some authentic narrations that the Prohet (saw) did have a shadow.
Sayyida A’isha (Allah be pleased with her) narrates that once while the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) was on a journey, the camel of his wife Sayyida Safiyya (Allah be pleased with her) fell ill. However, his other wife Sayyida Zaynab (Allah be pleased with her) had an extra camel.
*The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said to Sayyida Zaynab: “The camel of Safiyya has become ill, can you lend her your extra camel?” She replied: “should I give that Jew?” (Sayyida Safiyyah was originally a Jew). So, (upon hearing this, the Messenger of Allah became upset and) deserted her for two or three months and he would not come to her…. She says: “Until one day, at midday, I could see the shadow of the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) approaching…..” ***(Musnad Ahmad, 6/132) **
Sayyidduna Anas ibn Malik (Allah be pleased with him) narrates that, one night the Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) led us in prayer, and whilst in prayer he stretched out his hand and then pulled it back. We said: “O Messenger of Allah! We saw you doing something in prayer that we have not seen you do before.”
*The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said: “Indeed, Paradise was presented before me, and I saw in it, fruits that were low and near. I intended to take one but was told to holdback, thus I held back. Then Hell was presented before me until I saw my and your shadow in it, thus I gestured to you to move back.” *(Mustadrak al-Hakim, 4/456 & authenticated by Imam al-Dhahabi)
The above definitely proved beyond any shadow of doubt that the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was human being from progeny of Hz. Adaam (as).
A shadow is formed when light cannot pass through a body or an object.
Since the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was not transparent (his blessed body letting the sunlight pass through him) it is very natural for the shadow to be formed.
There are many weak ahadith claiming that the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) had no shadow – that fact is that these are weak ahadith.
Narrated 'Umar: I heard the Prophet saying, "Do not exaggerate in praising me as the Christians praised the son of Mary, for I am only a Slave. So, call me the Slave of Allah and His Apostle." - Bukharee Volume 4, Book 55, Number 654
2) That no fly sat on the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him)
This has no religious implication. The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was a very clean and pure person and loved to scent himself and strongly encouraged to do the same.
Flies are naturally attracted to bad smell so no reason to sit on him.
If the claim is this that Allah Almighty is preventing the flies ‘dishonouring’ the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) by sitting on him then Allah Almighty wouldn’t have the following incidences to occur!
We all know of the incident in the early days of Islam that while the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was praying in the Kaaba, Uqbah ibn Abi Muayt the wickedest of the Makkan polytheists threw entrails of a slaughtered animal with obnoxious filth on the shoulders of Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) as he was prostrating.
Also the incidence of a Jewish lady who used to throw rubbish on the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him).
3) If this is about yawning then the statement is true: That the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) never yawned.
- “Narrated Abu Huraira: The Prophet said, “Yawning is from Satan and if anyone of you yawns, he should check his yawning as much as possible, for if anyone of you (during the act of yawning) should say: ‘Ha’, Satan will laugh at him.” *Bukhari: Book 4: Volume 54: Hadith 509
*“The son of Abu Said al-Khudri reported on the authority of his father that Allah’s Messenger (may peace be upon him) said: When one of you yawns, he should keep his mouth shut with the help of his hand, for it is the devil that enters therein.” *Muslim: Book 42: Hadith 7130
*"Allah’s Messenger said, Yawning in prayer is an act of Shaytan, so when one of you yawns he should restrain it as much as possible. In another version it the word are: He should place his hand upon his mouth. Mishkat, Narrated Abu Hurayrah , transmitted by Tirmidhi and Ibn Majah.
Abu Hurayrah reported that the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “Yawning is from Shaytaan, so if any of you feels the urge to yawn, let him resist it as much as he can.”* (Muslim, 2994)
As yawning is from Shaytaan then the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) protected from shaytaan.

Seeking The Truth: Is (Every) Yawning From Satan?
4) The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) could see ahead and back of him simultaneously!
There is NO authentic ahadith to back up the above narrations.
5) All the animals the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) rode never ran away form him.
*We sent thee not (O Muhammad), but as a mercy to the worlds’. * (21:107)
Allah Almighty has stated that the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) is sent as Mercy to the worlds and this includes the animal world.
Who wouldn’t love to have a master like the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) and ride him? Animals generally are very faithful to a good master.
5) The Blessed Prophet’s (peace and blessings be upon him) sweat was sweet smelling
This is true and a lot of authentic ahadith to attest to this fact.
*Anas said: “I have never touched silk or a silky garment softer than the palm of the Prophet’s (Peace be upon him); nor have I smelt a perfume or any scent nicer than his.” In another version, “I have never smelt ambergris nor musk nor any other thing sweeter than the scent and the smell of the Messenger of Allâh (Peace be upon him).”
Abu Juhaifa said: “I took his hand and put it on my head and I found that it was colder than ice and better scented than the musk perfume.”
Jabir bin Samurah — who was a little child then — said: “When he wiped my cheek, I felt it was cold and scented as if it had been taken out of a shop of a perfume workshop.”
Anas said, “His sweat was pearl-like.” Umm Sulaim said: “His sweat smelt nicer than the nicest perfume.”
Hadrat Umm Sulaim (may Allah be pleased with her) reported that Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) visited her house and (took rest) and she spread a piece of cloth for him and he had a siesta on it. And he sweated profusely and she collected his sweat and put it in perfume bottles. Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) said: Umm Sulaim, what is this? She said: It is your sweat, which I put in my perfume (to make it more fragrant)."
Allah’s Messenger (may Allah’s blessings and peace be upon him) sweated in cold weather when revelation descended upon him.** (Muslim)**
6) The Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) turned bitter water sweet by mixing his saliva into it*.
There are authentic incidences when the Blessed Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) was on expeditions and came across wells which had bitter water. He would take some bitter water in his blessed mouth and spit it into well and with Allah Almighty’s Blessings the water would turn sweet.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I don’t think its true as the last prophet was born among the humans and would be like them , not supernatural . To make people believe he was a prophet of god , it needed miracle and his was the Quran unlike the previous ones who had different miracles
I don’t think the pointers mean literally they way they mean like can see front and back and fly not sitting on him or animals behaving that way can be instinctively led by god as afterall he was his habib and 6 and 7 could be hygienic
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
Is the debate of the prophet
not having a shadow relevant to Noor/bashar?
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
with the blind taqleed of mullah like vrooms, people still believe that the rock in jerusalem is floating in the air.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
Peace Muzna,
Brother Ibn Sadique answered in detail. I’ll just answer in general not making it a very long post. An article was published in a local newspaper issued in the State of Kuwait, and I quote:
"The entire people of Ahlehadith agreed that the hadith (as extracted in Image of OP’s post as well as quoted by brother TLK [fake hadiths]) is a lie and baseless. It was broght by Shaikh Mohyuddin bin Arbi Albatani (known for Aqeedatul Halool val Ietihad), who died in the seventh century, without any supports/authentications. Peoples in the seventh century were not aware of such hadith if narrated in books of the Muslims and later on it is used as philosophical and mystical terms with similar terminology of refuted books of Ismailies, actually who were studied from Ibn-Arbi and taken lessen of Greek Idolatry philosophy.
Later on in the tenth century some scholars attributed it to Abdul Razzaq without mentioning his complete name nor mentioning about him in any book. Those who came after him (after Abdul Razzaq) thought he is actually a famous narrators Iman Hafiz Abdulrazaq bin Hamam Al-San’ani who died in 211 H. His book was published but the narration wasn’t in there. [Note: Abdul Razzaq and Imam Hafiz Abdulrazaq bin Hamam Al’San’ani are two different character].
When some extremist didn’t find and supportive to these sayings (in OP’s image), they allegedly linked it to to the author Imam AbdulrRazaq by saying it was missing manuscript and they added it in a new edition (while printing his book) and presented it to 'Isa bin Maneh Al-Hamiri who presented it to ‘Mahmood Saeed Mamdoh’, who believed in it.
Those who refuted it are: Suyuti, Jamal Al Qasimi, Mohammed Rashid Rida, Ibn Baaz, Albanian, Mohammed Ahmed bin Abdul Qadir Shanqeeti, Mohamed Tahar Ashour, and Ahmed Abdullah along with many others.
Imam Abdulrazaq was innocent and had nothing to do with such sayings.
Almighty Allah knows best.
Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm
I’m sorry but there is nothing that I can find on that link that provides “authentic” hadiths.
What I could read and understand from there simply shows a translation of verses that has obviously been contorted to support a specific school of thought.
That information will never be accepted by the majority of alims.
