Can someone please substantiate/confirm

the following claims:

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

  1. Shadow, lack of, true, its mentioned in some hadiths. Light and Light, so no Shadow. This is a strictly traditional belief - that Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam was Nur [Light] and Bashr [had skin, was visible]
  2. Flies, the creatures are obedient to Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam
  3. didn’t understand the urdu word, but RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam heart never slept.
  4. See in front and behind Himself, SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam. true
  5. same as point 2 from what i understood, but has its own daleel. The animals and other creations [such as mud] are Obedient to Allah and His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam. Its also said that the Slaves of our Messenger SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam kaffan does not become dirty ie the mud is obedient to them also
  6. The Blessed Sweat of RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam was Perfumed
  7. The water which in contact with RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam became sweet, not just that but it became a cure too. Hospitals/clinics of Sahaba were set up based on this principle of cure - to bring water into contact with possessions [Blessed Shirt] and Mubarak Hair of RasoolAllah SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam

The points made in the picture are from traditional [older] Beliefs, you might not be too popular for taking them up these days

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Peace Muzna,

So far I just ‘heard’, need some time to look into these. Will post later on.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Assalamualaikum @Muzna

I haven’t read any in hadith…
Wallahu alam

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Thank you brother. I will appreciate any effort you make.

w/salam!
Nor have I sister.

The vast majority of that which is written there is contrary to what I’ve been taught about our beloved prophet so I am very curious to see what evidence exists to support such claims.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Thank you for your response.

Can you please provide the hadiths in which it is mentioned that huzoor s.a.w. did not cast a shadow and that he could see as well behind himself as in front?
I have to believe that these would have been huge things for people of the time to notice and there must be several hadiths to support these claims.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

@TLK

your thoughts?

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Person A: Muhammad (SAW) was super human. He had powers much beyond normal human capacity and he had properties much different from normal human beings. He had properties much better than angels and humans combined.

Person B: Muhammd (SAW) was just a human being and the best human being there would ever be. He had no super-human properties.

Person A: You are kafir.

Person B: You are kafir.

…while none of them cared about what Prophet (SAW) told them about how to live their lives.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

I am assuming the message you are delivering is that both Person A and Person B, with their contrasting opinions, will call each other kafir while neither will be following the sunnah of the prophet, pbuh.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

I am trying to say that whether Prophet (SAW) had a shadow or not does not (or should not) impact how we live. However, people make up these issues and fight over them which is pointless.

Did He (PBUH) sweat or if his sweat smelled like a thousand roses? Why should it matter?

Remember that the Christians and Jews had a lot of interactions with people of Arabian peninsula in the early days of Islam. The idea is that Muslims at that time started competing with Christians who were bent upon proving that Jesus (AS) was God. Which would, for Muslims, mean that Muhammad (PBUH) was somehow inferior (God forbid) to Jesus (AS). I think a lot of stories like this were made up to prove Muhammad (PBUH) > Jesus (AS).

The above is my personal reading about the issue and I’m no scholar. Lets say Muhammad (SAW) had (or has) massive super powers and everything was (or is) under his command. Does this information affect how we live or deal with other human beings?

If prophet had no shadow then wouldn’t that be a miracle? If prophet indeed have that miracle then why kuffar came to him asking for a miracle to prove his prophethood?

Why is that Quran mentioned the miracles of other prophets, but did not, even once, mentioned prophet Mohammed’s miracles. Would not that be a great asset to attract people to Islam if he had those miracles?

It is so sad that there is a group whose whole effort is to turn a human prophet into a God like creature. Carry on man, just carry on.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Its not a recent phenomenon, even the earliest source records, rasoolullah’s father having noor on his forehead on his marriage night, which left him next morning.
A could shadowing him all the time.
I use to get upset at could episode in pak, thinking is molvis going overboard, but recently found out that too is in earliest sources.
So to my small mind it looks like, like other figure etc jesus(as), myths were created a little about prophet(pbuh) too.

How ever I am not sure if this information is in sahis muslim, which I think is most scrutinized information.

wallahualam

@Monk, There is no hadees related to him not having a shadow in 6 authentic books.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

Irrespective of whether the holy prophet (pbuh) had or didn’t have those properties stated in the OP, there is no impact on his importance, his stature and value of the message he brought.
There are many verses in the holy Quran that directly or indirectly tell us that all the prophets/messengers were humans and people of their time used to wonder "how can this person be a messenger of Allah whereas he walks in the streets like us and eat food.
People always attributed apparent qualities of super being with the reformers/messengers they believe in. Even the people who rejected them had similar sort f views and they rejected the messenger because he didn’t fit their made-up criteria. Quran is witness to this fact.

He would not be able to, but let me quote the two fabricated ones that people use, and then one from sahih bukhari

That means that prophet would glow, day or night, right? But let me narrate an authentic hadees.

Why would Aisha mention the absence of lamp? Oh because it was dark, or Aisha would have said that though there were no lamps, I was able to see everything because of the Noor of prophet.

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

I totally agree that there is no impact on the message that he brought to us.
I simply want to discourage such misinformation from polluting the truth.

Often people elevate a personality to the highest degree with the intention of securing greater appreciation for that person. What those people don’t realize is that by giving that person such status they are, in fact:

  1. creating distance between the beloved prophet pbuh and those who wish to learn about him and follow his way by turning him into, nauzobillah a God or demigod and
  2. encouraging shirk

Re: Can someone please substantiate/confirm

I know the Hadiths but…I am only set up to defend the believers, rather then convince a person

The best advice I can give is to go to Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala for help understanding the religion, Allah Subhanahu wa Ta’ala may introduce you to His Rasool SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam

I’ll give you a website that may answer some of your questions, but learning about Islam is a more then a lifelong process
Ahlus Sunnah
Prophet(

*I think there is a hadith, and its Sahih, that does suggest the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam had a shadow but its interpreted by Ahlus Sunnah. I myself do not believe the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam was subject to all the normal scientific constraints, I believe the Prophet SallAllahu Alaihi wa Ahlihi wa Sallam had no shadow, and that the Companions saw this - just as stated in the Hadith which state as such

I’ll try to comment on other points mentioned later
