A very shady character 'Mansoor Ijaz' wrote in a newspaper, that Ambassador Haqqani asked him to deliver a letter to then Admiral Mike Mullen.
The letter asked for help in stopping the Pak Army from launching a coup against the elected govt.
Now the Pak Army is saying they are 'outraged', and the letter was written by Zardari.
No one seriously believes smart political operators like Zardari, or Haqqani would do something so obvious.
It is widely viewed as another Pak Army/ISI attempt to get rid of the govt without full martial law.
This time they are trying to use the memo to kick the govt out through a Supreme Court ruling.

Certainly sounds like a tempest in a teapot. When such circuses happen, the thing to ask is,"What are they trying to distract us from?"

If it was not the issue, then why govt made it an issue, if govt. thought it was not an issue, then why they waited to form a investigative committee, if there was nothing to hide, then they should have made the judicial inquiry committee then and there and we might have not seen all this hue and cry...
But the govt is still making mess of it, if govt or zardari have nothing to do with the issue, why they are threating Mansoor Ijaz? let him come and explain himself in front of the commission...
why haqani was fired ( yes this is one of the form of firing people from their jobs)?
but if it is reality, then govt is justified for making it an issue
