Bombastic...yes alcohol plays a part in harming you...and so does eating at McDonalds...harm is not a reason not to do something...if Allah forbids...Allah forbids...thats the point...you dont need a reason from Allah cos he knows best...
true, no sahabi ever asked the propher :saw: why did allah allow for four wives why not 3 or 5? or why did allah make us do wudu after we break wind? or any such nonsense question. they only said we hear and we obey. so we should stop this nonsense of answering the questions too. some one asks why such and such is haram in islam, we should tell them just because…and thats it. Allah made is haram and thats it. Allah is not questioned about what he does.

with respect to the question of the writer of this thread :
first of all :
do you believe in allah as an only one god who created u from nothing?
secondly:
if the answer of the prev. ques. was yes then :
u should know that whoever made the machine is the best one to know its goods and its bads, and for allah and humanity he is the the one who made them from nothing so he would be the the one to know what benifits and what does harm them.
another point is :
u or allahs knowledge which is the most complete?
by fair mentality we should know that the god (allah) should be perfect , and one of those conditions of being perfect is :the perfect god has the perfect knowledge
so there is no meaning in comparing ur knowledge to his perfect one.
from this point and from the point of u admitedomg him as the only god ,
u should not put ur self in a position of negotiating or oposing his decision and rules or else u should expect -sooner or later- to try his unlimited power applying his judgement upon u with u having no power defieng it
