I know a lot about Kashmir- It was not given to Pakistan during partition although it belongs to Pakistan since it is muslim majority. It was muslim majority then. I know for sure that Congress of India agreed to repatriate non-muslims in Kashmir somewhere else in India and hand over Kashmir to Pakistan but Kashmir had a Hindu King- bajjit sing or something and he knew that will happen. As a result, he went with India and congress went back on its promise.
