It really depends. I think a lot of non-Pakistani brides aren’t very good at picking out tasteful Pakistani clothes and jewelry because they’re just not familiar with it at all, and as a result, don’t look as nice as they could have. I also suspect that some MIL’s aren’t very happy when their sons bring home white bahus, and this is reflected in the quality of the bridal outfits and jewelry that they give. That said, if they manage to get the right clothes and jewelry (and many do), I think they can definitely pull off the look.

This girl did it so beautifully, I thought she had to be Kashmiri or Pathan when I first saw a couple of her pictures, but it turns out she’s European:
