It doesn't matter what ethnicity one is, as long as they wear styles, colour, and cuts that suit their complexions and body types.
It's about knowing what suits you and as Gok Wan says...the confidence!
we have a few white girl marriages in our group and it's all about how pretty the white girl is. I mean i remember attending a friend's wedding and her brother in law married a white girl that was wearing an outfit that didn't suit her but she herself had white trash written all over her face, there was no elegance in her looks so it didn't matter what u gave her to wear. I think that the outfit matters but if the girl isn't cute or just looks like trash no matter what color you give them to wear it just won't work.
recently met a super sweet white girl that married into a friend's family and she looked great in her clothing (met her on eid) but in that same family another cousin's white wife over does it with a tikka every occasion and bangles and just is kinda overweight and not cute in teh face so .... i'd rather not see her all dolled up desi style. i know this sounds cruel but if i had a forehead that big i would never wear a tikka (kinda why i wont wear a nose ring bc my nose is huge why call attention to that?)

White girls with at least a slight tan can look stunning in desi clothes but often they look washed-out even if they're not porcelain (tho isn't it strange pale-skinned desis can pull it off).. I've seen very few goras who are able to carry off the desi look (and they're nearly always brunettes as well).. Also I guess them feeling awkward shows in the photos as well.. imo white girls who are slightly exotic looking (eg tanned with black hair and/or light eyes or very strong features) tend to pull off the look the best..
Another thing is white girls marrying desi men should go wedding shopping with ppl their own age rather than leave it to their MILs who tend to pick outfits that are totally unflattering/old-fashioned/tacky resulting in them looking like a Xmas tree..

I think it is in the hair,the same outfit on a gori with blond hair and a gori with brown hair will give to the gori with brown hair the more desi look.

Most of the time, the girls dont have much help when it comes to picking the right shades, colors, cuts and styles. They dont know who Bunto is - they do know Vera Wang though!
I think desi clothes can be pulled off by anyone...you just have to know what works for you.

This is going to sound really bad but I find this pic with the nose-ring a bit creepy, like she’s off to get sold at a market or something.. Each to their own but for some reason it freaks me out a bit seeing a white girl decked out in so much jewellery in that particular style 
She is very pretty tho..

OMG she is beyond stunning! love her makeup, jewellry, clothes and she carries them with such poise-noone can say she isnt desi! and the last pic, its almost ethereal, mashaAllah!

it’s really about how hot/pretty the girl is without all the crazy desi bold colors and heavy tikkas and what not. however here are a few and at the end yana gupta bc afterall she’s a white girl (russian fully) that married a desi

And I dunno about yall but for the longest time i assumed this seasonsindia.com model was a white girl (neha dalvi, feminina miss india 2010 too bad she wasn’t representing in the miss universe contest…) anyhow here are some of her pics notice her makeup is never too much the colors are somewhat not so neon or anything to take from her beauty. So if you’re a gori lol and you’re reading this out of curiosity I think she’s a great example of what colors work and don’t work on ppl with that white girl look:
So I think that’s why the bride in the glambition’s post works well she looks like the desis that can pass for white ppl. One great thing about desi beauty is that some look asian, black, white, itallian, hispanic, greek, persian, arab, etc… i think the desi race is the only race that can have so much variety looks wise and I embrace that.

neha dalvi is gorgeous totally jealous
in this one her figure is so perfect and the sari is so pretty but i wish the blouse didn’t look like a bra though
