Aaah my dear Jaanwar .. you are back to haunt me

yeah I must admit i do have some male friends .. but both sides we try to maintain alot of personal space and distance … so we never get into personal discussions … just very general chit chat .. but still .. these friendships are like time bombs … who knows his wife may not like it , my hubby may not like it … it can turn nasty anytime !

naaw, just throwing and bouncing ideas, I learn quite a lot from you people. I am glad you agree that they can be friends. I admit to the possibility of bad intentions, but then in today’s age you cant even trust a person of the same sex when it comes to intentions. lol

Like I said, I have attended the weddings of some of my very good female friends, and if it didnt suit them, we ended it at a happy note and did not communicate again. And I have some married friends, whose husbands dont mind.

my take on it, yes a guy and girl can be friends but not the same way a girl and girl or guy and guy can be.

the way i am with my friends, funny/perverted/lovey text msgs, sleepovers (sleeping in the smae bed), hugs, sharing clothes nad makeup, talking abou twhatever…no way i can do that with even the “best” guy friend i have. thats just not how i am, nor do I think most half-way decent ppl would do that wiht opposite gender friends. (unless ur getting makeup tips from the dude… but thats a different thread)

You are right, there are more common interests and more things you can do with a friend of the same sex. But when it comes to quality of friendship, sincerity and sacrifice, then it is between two persons - sex has less to do with it.
