Don't think selfish Lusi. Thing for whole our comunity. I don't need but I will oppose for all my Pakistani bhai bahan whoever needs. I'm Canadian and my whole family has got US Or Englandish nationality almost. But I will oppose.

I do recall one other country where it was tough for temporary workers to bring their spouse and kids over. It was Kingdom Of saudi Arabia, back in the 70's and 80's.
So I guess nice example for US to follow. right?
really?? but my mom n i and many of our friends went to saudia during that same time period n as for temporary workers in saudia arabia everyone is temporary the moment u lost ur job or sponsorship u hav either to leave or try transfer to some other company.

I heard they made it even more tough now, ie only degree holders, certain salary, etc.

Look I dont mind having small communities of desis, asians living here.
But when an entire tidal wave of people start coming here, taking over neighborhoods, not assimilating, you get these ghettos filled with mostly 3rd world people.
Crime goes up, living standard goes down, etc, etc, etc....
Why is it that the most violent areas of Toronto are most non-white areas of the city.
Same thing in Paris or London or New York or any other major Western city.
If there are some people who can work in these countries, then for sure come and work and then leave. The reason its called Guest worker is because you are a guest and then you leave. But whenever these Guest worker programs are started, the people never leave, then bring in their families and start a chain sponsoring, sponsoring their uncles, aunts, cousins who then doing the same and then get their kids married off to people back home so they can get visas and come, etc, etc, etc......

So others wishing to immigrate elsewhere for whatever reason shouldn't be given a chance?
If you are so concerned, why don't you move back and allow some other person to be immigrated to where you are?

read again, I did not say it was impossible, I said it was tough, many people waited for years until the iqama for their wife or kids was approved.

The people who come to Canada the FOBS have 3rd world mentality and insulate themselves with 3rd world people and thus you have clusters in the 1st world city like Toronto with 3rd world ghettos emerging.

there is something in this bill that everyone can disagree with. so if u are againt ppl sponsoring their siblings or parents thats one thing, but then you have to deal with the issue of the highly skilled workers getting shafted, these are no ghetto ppl these are ppl who companies are sponsoring, professionals, doctors, researchers...why create roadblocks for them..
and then this bill also allows the illegals to get a legal non resident status without the type of background checks everyone else had to go through.
so merc if you are against the illegal mexicans coming over here, u may want to call to oppse it as well..

^^ i don't mind skilled workers coming here to work
but they are guest workers and once their work is done they should leave
they shouldn't be loop holes which allows them to settle and bring in their families and start sponsoring their relatives who then sponsor relatives and start a never ending immigration chain

That was written for Eastern and Southern European immigrants who came to USA in the early 20th Century. They were white and christian just like most Americans.

Not really. One of the big reasons people come to the west is to escape the 3rd world problems. But if the entire 3rd world comes here and those problems come with them.

Like it or not but thats the way the world is. If everyone was equal, it would be Communism but communism failed miserably. And thus human nature cannot be changed. This is the way the world is.
