Re: Bye Bye PPP…
Sahee keh rahey hain, jtni corruption aur incometency inhon nay kee hai 65 saal toh kiya history mein kissi nay nahin kee.
Re: Bye Bye PPP…
Yellow journalism!!! bad reporting!!! The prime minister said “jitnay kaam ham ne daalay, 65 saal main kisi ne nahee dalay”.
Re: Bye Bye PPP...
It is natural that one who leaves office is bashed.
ALL politicians in Pakistan have something to be bashed about.
It is history of Pakistan that someone is made a big leader and then this leader abuse his power.
No need to put so much hope on Imran Khan either.
Chances are, if he wins and makes Govt., awaam will not be happy with him.
Many problems on which PPP is being criticized cannot be solved in few years.

Was there any problem that they could solve?

When you are in power for 5 years you should have something to show for it. What has this govt got to show in terms of what they have done for the people of Pakistan. Nothing. Everything which matters to the ordinary person like, electricity, gas, cost of living, healthcare, law and order, etc this govt has failed miserably.
Re: Bye Bye PPP…
I think they continued the democratic Govt.
Some good decisions were made.
Constitution was restored and some good amendments were made.
PPP did not use power to victimize others.
Achievements and failures of PPP government | The Nation
Not supporting PPP but to say all was bad is another form of extreme.
Somehow I do not think even IK can deliver what he is promising.
Let us face the fact that Pakistan is a poor country with too many requirements and a huge population, porous borders and lack of resources.
Politicians in Pakistan are NOT capable of making a big difference since there are many other factors which come in to play including international forces.

Its all speculation until he comes to power. Where as PPP and PMLN have had multiple chances to rule (during the past 40 yrs) and every time the situation has gone worse from bad...
Re: Bye Bye PPP…
I applaud them for the constitutional changes, but ask the people on the street whose lives have become more miserable after this government of misrule. The terrorism is still there, in fact expanded and in the later part of their government converting into a sectarian issue. Hyper inflation, energy crisis, joblessness, further deterioration of corporations (Railways, PIA, WAPDA, and Steel Mills) and we can go on.

I..........Many problems on which PPP is being criticized cannot be solved in few years.
Solving problems is one thing, adding more is another. Not being able to solve problems in a country like Pakistan is forgivable. Treating the country like vultures treat dead animals, is not.
Re: Bye Bye PPP...
Some achievements of the present government are 18th amendment (withdrawal of presidential powers), 19th and 20th amendments which deal with devolution of powers from the centre to the provinces, formation of Gilgit/Balochistan province and Benazir Income Support Program (I am not in favour of these kinds of programs; the government should have created jobs instead). They issued Balochistan Aghaz e haqooq package but it couldn’t make an impact in the province due to incompetency and lack of oversight of the governments.
Balochistan situation has become worse during the past five years, thousands have been murdered in Karachi and increase in sectarian killings. The duration of Load shedding has increased from 6-8 hours to 12-22 hours resulting in closure of hundreds of factories (in Faisalabad and other cities). The local body system was scrapped (as it was a brainchild of Musharraf) which stopped the development reaching the grass roots (Union Council level).

Musharraf had a lot to show after his rule but still people criticised him the same way they are criticising ppp now.
Re: Bye Bye PPP...
PML-N have in all their tenures done two good things. The Motorway & the Metro Bus project. Similarly even though I regard PPP as utterly incompetent and corrupt, I like two things about them. A- by & large do not use religion to fool the masses. B- have so far resisted the temptation to victimise their political opponents. But when it comes to governance, both have been a big disappointment

Yes, very much agreed where the failures of PPP govt is concerned to turn away from providing the basic necessities and security to people.
There is whole lot of other failures including mishandling the finances.
As I said earlier, ALL politicians have had something to be criticized on.
The problems are there and will not go away even for few years since the basic problem of discrepancy between the resources and demands still there and lack of education and accountability has always been there.
On top of that corruptions by the elites and governing bodies added to the problems.
PPP completed five years. Some progress made. Some good developments were seen.
**The dilemma has been that there is a cycle of uprising of one party and booing the other and it turns out no one actually was able to solve those issues.
Off course a new comer will come with new promises and slogans. But what actually happens down the road is all too familiar to public.

Re: Bye Bye PPP...
Happy Independence Day indeed!
These are accomplishments of Zardari's PPP led government over the last 5 years of demoKursi rule.
Here is the comparison list of various commodities between Feb 2008 and Feb 2013. All prices in PK Rupees.
Petrol: 56 -108 Diesel: 39 -116 CNG: 30 - 75 Bike:55,000-68,000 AC:15,000- 42,000 US Dollar : 60- 100 Aata: 10 -44 Sugar:21-65 Milk: 20-80 Cooking Oil:70-190 G.S.T: 15%-25% Call & SMS tax: 7% -21% DAP Urea:1300-3880 Load Shedding:30%-150% Electric Unit: 2.13- 9.38 Gold: 18,000 - 63,000
Introduced mobile jamming/blocking, introduced CNG load shedding, fake degree holder was made minister of education and the list goes on.
Ponder over this before you vote for these clowns again.
Though, prices did rise but they also did in all the neighbouring countries too..
The PPP hate mail u have copied can be put in joke section since, you have put (Gold: 18,000 - 63,000), now how can a Pakistani government control gold prices as it is internationally controlled and not even super powers can control it.. you think ant Pakistani government can stop gold price at 18,000 whereas international price is way above? if that happens all gold from Pakistan or any country with lower price would be smuggled out in a flash. Likewise petrol and diesel prices have arisen internationally. ponder over you too before forwarding such a joke..
