Bye Bye PPP...

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

Ppp can still win. No shortage of illiterates who still vote for them.

ppp + mqm + pml will partner up so the loot mar will continue.

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

I am no history student but did the politicians of Magna carta era pass last day bills to increase their perks? or did they send the list of ppl to be employed into different ministries and institutions?
or did they go on official visits on last days of their governments to ajmir shareef?
and do u think these peer-parast and grave worshipping stupids can really bring about a change for good?
If you say education will empower the ppl but then who will spread education? the government? the same very ppl who want to hold onto power and dont want to let go it?

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

Do you have international prices for these commodities for comparison purposes of the two times (beginning of PPP government and at ending)?

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

PPP is not going anywhere. Wadairas of Sindh, Babbling bumbling band of brainless baboons of Punjab, Sardars of Baluchistan and for-sale electables of KP are still there. Literacy rate has not really improved over the last few years to expect different results.

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

well said

They have made Bhutto a cult. How can you change the mindsets of people for whom it is Allah, Rasool then ZAB (and I don't think I am exaggerating too much here)

Andhey voter(on) ki kami nahi Ghalib
Aik dhoondo hazaar miltey hain

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

You will need a magnifying glass (preferably with light)

and I am not being sarcastic either..

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

Considering the circumstances, I think people are being hard on Zardari. None of the problems that Pakistan has right now is Zardari's making. It is just that Zardari did not provide any path breaking leadership to solve the issues. If we take an objective look at the rule of the leaders for the last 20-30 years, it has been a steady downhill for most of the time.
It is easy to sit in an armchair and blame the voters for the poor choice. The options are very limited.
Also to Zardari's credit he has not bypassed the constitution to continue his premiership.

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

The mere fact that you and millions others consider Zardari is 'premier' in Pakistan is a major point of criticism for this government. The President is supposed to be a head of state, impartial and non-political office. The government is supposed to be headed by the Prime Minister in a parliamentary system as ours. Zardari chose to be the president instead of Prime Minister because of the 'immunity' that office provides him. The show is, however, still run by him.

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

The show is run by Zardari I agree, but he paved the way for the elections did'nt he. He could have plunged Pakistan into a constitutional crisis to continue...

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

He could not (hint: opposition, Judiciary, military)

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

Sorry I do not buy your assertion. Even if we ignore problems that already existed before PPP came to power then what about the unprecedented damage done to some departments incl. Pak Railways, PIA & Steel mills etc during their tenure not to mention rampant corruption and nepotism.

And I do not accept that there are no better alternatives
IK and Musharraf can/will do a much better job than both Zardari and NS. Whether they are electable or not is a different matter altogether

Re: Bye Bye PPP...

The show being run by Zardari IS a constitutional crisis. The president is not supposed to be doing it. Did you not witness the latest miracle where MQM joined opposition in the last month of government and the two of them would form a caretaker government together? That would rather be a carefree government.

Army was subdued under Kiyani. PML(N) is dead against intervention of military into civilian affairs again. Supreme Court is active and against establishment intervention too.

Zardari tried hard to lure extra-constitutional action. We should applaud restraint shown by PML(N) and military in the face of massive, unprecedented loot and plunder witnessed in the last five years.

Re: Bye Bye PPP…

This is really great . Happy moment for me too . Getting rid of this dirty broker .
