I am so glad asad umer won, the only thing I was looking in these by elections, we need ppl like him.

PS: noon league tried there best to do rigging in NA56 in general elections they made recounting 3 to 4 times but still IK won , if IK left tht seat tu who neefa jeet jata

Bilour family despite everything must be commended for their stand against the TTP animals. I think we need people like them who are not afraid to stand against these animals unlike maulana diesel who supports them.

Exactly (point 5 and 6) I covered in Pti becoming a drawing room party. Pti is doing a lot of good work in kpk, but their image has taken a battering due to their behaviour in the wake of killings of their legislative members. No one from the party turned up in namaz e janazas, no one even had something to say to console the relative. These are small things but they do matter. Anp was punished because of this. If Pti will commit the same mistakes they will face similar circumstances.

janab you forgot to mention PTI along with molana Diesel.....while molana diesel openly supports taliban, PTI has chosen to remain quiet about them which is also a horrible act..

At the end not a bad result for PTI, they have lost two NA seats and won one (so a deficit of one). The provincial assembly seats up for grab in kpk were independents and ANP/JUI so no issue there. PTI has performed well against JUI which is again a good omen. PTI performed well in Hafizabad and Sargodha, and won at least three seats in Punjab assembly which is again a plus. It's good that the party lost in Peshawar as this should initiate some soul searching and force them to perform well in the province and remove the reasons which could have contributed in their defeat there. Mianwali should be another eye opener, it used to be considered a safe seat for PTI, its important for the party to field strong and good candidates. I think the news of Ayla Malik with regards to Imran Khan could have played a part as well. Our politics is as such that the candidates need to keep in touch with the electorate (even after getting elected), like Ahsan Iqbal, Khurram Dastgir, Saad Rafique, Sheikh Rasheed and others. If PTI candidates ignore the electorate they will ignore them in the next elections.

i agree with sohaib here, if PTI has lost NA-1, they’ve won NA-27
and if they lost Mianwali, they’ve won DG Khan

but the drawback for PTI here is that, both of the seats lost were vacated by IK, and its somewhat symbolic.
when in 2002 IK lost everywhere, and PTI had only 1 seat, it was from Mianwali, but now PTI lost that seat to PMLN
Ayla Malik saga in party internal politics and then IK defending her fake degree case has cost PTI dearly.

After seeing results and situation in PTI , looks that a party and its loyals ( considered to be based on ideology ) becoming like other ordinary parties of pk.
Seats being won by individuals not by the party.

BTW pt. no. 4 in post 163 looks softer version of " jo quaid ka gaddar hey woh mot ka huqdaar hey"

Asad Omar winning is a great news for me . I rate him higher than Imran khan. This man always talks sense

Pakistan politics is still based on electables and only way PTI can survive and make people vote for ideology in next elections is matchless performance in KP. They have been slow to take off but there are positives to work with and directions has finally been set right with good ordinances coming in thick and fast.

I am so glad JUIF is losing further ground. I predict that Fazlu will be irrelevant by the time next elections come.
