Juat two months ago , PTI was overwhelmed in these non burger areas but due to their no existing policies for Karachi , people didn’t come out to vote for them

it is hard to have an objective viewpoint as every one is simply "narrating/explaining/defending" his/her viewpoint based on his/her loyalty to a certain party except Ali Syed who is fairly balanced and objective in his analysis despite his support for PTI in general elections.

pti fielding unknown sheeda, bhola and gama in na 1 and na 71 and thus paying the price. it wasnt about ballay and party ideology this time. lesser voter turnout didnt help either

This is one of the strongest areas for MQM. Bhayee yehi tu kehte hayn k pooray karachi mayn under army kerwa lo, i am sure mqm will lose 5-6 seats, specially 252 and 253 with a 'burger' population :p

Interesting thing to note: Imran's call for vote on ideology is still not digested properly. Personalities still matter. NA 1 candidate was a poor worker with internal rifts was beaten by a heavy weight. NA 71 was actually a covering candidate after Ayla Malik's disqualification was a weak weak one.

Even in DG khan & Rajanpur, seats PTI won are of sardars so not really an ideological vote.

PTI's summary:

2 seats lost
4 seats retailed
4 seats added

but seats lost after kaptaan's withdrawal are gonna steal headlines.

wow just noticed Samad Mursaleen (a more deserving candidate than Gul bacha) who ran independently got 12K votes. Add his votes and this seat would have been retained by PTI.

also if ticket was given to mursaleen, many disgruntled voter who decided to stay back, would have come out and voted. PTI suffered because of wrong candidate choices both in General and by elections
