Bush's fundementalist Christian allies / Islam-haters off to Iraq

The ones wanted dead or alive are extremists, not fundamentalists. Graham and company are not calling for the killing of non-believers.

And guess who delivered the invocation at George W. Bush’s inauguration, as President?

I think I explained that the American view is that these men are not hate mongers they are commentators. Bush has the right to meet with whom ever he wants, he does not necessarily condone or endorse their views in their entirety. Approval of Bush's alliances are reflected in the ballot box. I for one did not vote for him in part because I beleived he went overboard in his statements to gain the vote of the hard line Christian right. By that you may infer that I have "denounced" him. Welcome to democracy.

I had a hard time voting for Gore because of his cowtowing to organized labor.

Well in that case the Mullah aint a hate monger. He is also a commentator.

One man's terrorist is another mans freedom fighter.

Cute. But you and i know you dont believe that for a second.

I promise not to vote for anybody who is endorsed by a radical mullah also. ;)

what about one man is freedom fighter for one man and then he becomes a terrorist for the same man once his target is achieved?

Being hypocritical is a far different charge than having ulterior purposes. I repeat my question, what ulterior purposes do these folks have in supplying food, water and building materials to Iraqis?

As to Muslim relief organizations, you'd have to show me a source or two before I'd believe that Muslim relief organizations are poised at the borders with all the food, water and building materials the Iraqis need. I'm all in favor of Muslim relief organizations participating in this cause. But I sort of doubt they have they financial wherewithall to supply all the present and future needs of the Iraqi people.

the bad thing in the charity of the evengelists is that they r using the situation-wealth in their own hands and destitution of the iraqis- to spread their faith. no one will object if they help the iraqis selflessly. the problem is that the evengelists will ask the iraqis to listen to their gospel before giving htem bread. such soul trading is what raises tensions and must be stopped.

Anyone whose faith is solidly grounded will do the same thing I do when some Mormons or Jehovahs witnesses show up at my door bearing gifts and wanting to talk to me about their faith; i.e. take the gifts and show them the sidewalk. Muslim Iraqis who are not interested in the religious philosophy of these bible thumpers ought to simply take the food, take the water, take the building materials and tell these bible thumpers to shove their religious beliefs.

have u ever been starving when some preachers turn up and offer food if u listen to their preachings? have u ever been homeless when the preachers offer buiding material in return for listening to their preaching? things dont remain the same when u have a full stomach, a good house to live and plenty of security.
your evengelists will also offer a monthly salary to anyone who converts and is willing to convert more people. if the evengelists r so interested in charity, why the emphasis on conversion?

Its ironic. People before were compelled to convert due to the generosity and the way of life of the missionaries. Now it is the opposite. To get food they convert.

Convert? I think you r all giving these ppl too much credit for nothing. I think the Iraqi’s know how to play the game too, they will only mutter a dozen hail mary’s and our Father to get their daily bread all the while thanking the Lord and praying for victory of Muslimeen against the kuffar! :hehe:

Out of the abyss comes a voice of reason.

There are two sides necessary before a conversion takes place. On one side, you need a bible thumper ready, willing and able to yak, yak, yak. On the other side, you need a person ready, willing and able to discard a current belief structure and replace it with one they find better.

It’s like people being asked to listen to a timeshare presentation to get a free gift or vacation. You don’t need to buy the timeshare to get the gift.

There speaks American hypocrisy and double standards. Condemn others for their fundementalism, and links to fundementalists, but make excuses for your own fundementalists and President who has very close links to such people.

Myvoice and his rose tinted glasses. Tell me who here actually supports OBL? He hate him and say so. We do the same for the Christain ones well. Anyway answer the question.

Has to be a better way.
