C’mon UTD, lets see if your supposition is correct.

Regardless, neither Clinton nor Carter had a foreign attack on US soil that killed 3000 people. To me, the incremental creep of spying on foreign agents as they contact US citizens is of little consequence. The foreign agents were identified, and their contacts in the US were tapped. The Chinese wall created by the NSA charter is only slightly fractured by virtue of the foreign contact with US citizens. This is hardly a slippery slope, as there is a clear link. And, this process was discussed with congressional leadership over 15 times, which sort of alleviates the concern of no oversight. So what is the issue? And how does it materially differ from previous presidential orders? No issue, and not much change from Democratic administrations in my opinion.
